The Conklin Lab 2024 Retreat was a success! We spent time in the June Lake area of the Eastern Sierra , visiting Obsidian Dome, Mono Lake, and Yosemite National Park. We were lucky enough to do some stargazing and catch the Perseids Meteor Shower.

Our preprint about CRISPR genome editing in neurons is live on BioRxiv! We showed that Cas9-induced damage is repaired very differently in neurons -- then found ways to influence that repair process and optimize the editing outcome. biorxiv.org/content/10.110…
