I put my legs in cold water yesterday and got livedo reticularis. That's the lacy purple pattern under the skin. This happens when the microvasculature is compromised somehow. It takes a bit to settle but when it does the pain begins. And increased vision problems. Then the crash out starts with heart palpitations and tachycardia. That's my quick post today. We need tests, treatments, and above all prevention. I am going back to sleepy. 🖤🩶🩵❣️ PS It's still in the blood circulating in platelets 5 years in. Prove me wrong with testing the platelets.

I feel a bit deflated this evening. The UK Covid Inquiry has concluded six years too late that covid is and always was airborne. I fought so hard in my local community to raise awareness and understanding of what airborne transmission meant. I was laughed at, ridiculed, attacked, but I was right. This is cold comfort, because nothing will change - because now they think *it's a good idea to catch everything*. Now they know things are airborne, they'll probably seal the doors and windows to make sure everyone catches everything. It's not the understanding of airborne transmission that's the problem, it's that people now think it's good to get sick. And their broken bodies are less able to fight off infection, so when they catch everything all the damage piles up. I hate this timeline.

Allowing students from Kent University to travel home across the UK during a lethal outbreak reminds me of watching the numerous flights from Italy arriving every day on my laptop whilst we were supposed to be locked down in 2020.

Now this is better! A proper 3M FFP2 headband respirator being worn correctly. Straps positioned correctly. This person is far better protected than those choosing to wear surgical masks. I'm glad some people have found out for themselves what the authorities failed to tell them.

Here it is: „No one wants to admit airborne is a dominant mode of transmission because that means nearly all indoor spaces made in the last 100 years are unsafe without extreme retrofitting, but if they ever swallow that pill, there's a lot of catching up to do with research.“
Nukit@NukitToBeSure

The consequence of pretending airborne things aren't (see wired.com/story/the-teen…) is a lack of data on the best ways to prevent transmission. For those of you interested, the best numbers we have on Neisseria meningitidis put it at around 2-log inactivation with 3–4 mJ/cm² of 254nm UVC- (and a whole raft of caveats too long to get into, those aren't solid numbers). No one wants to admit airborne is a dominant mode of transmission because that means nearly all indoor spaces made in the last 100 years are unsafe without extreme retrofitting, but if they ever swallow that pill, there's a lot of catching up to do with research. journals.asm.org/doi/10.1128/jb… onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/ap…

idk who needs to hear this, but out in the wild i’m getting more receptive responses to info sharing about covid. in the past few days, one person on ig said thank you and asked for more research links on dm. and someone on a forum asked to volunteer for long covid advocacy.

Absolutely no country in the world is benefiting from mass-reinfecting their population.
Christine 🌻 Guenter@ChristineGuent8

Wow! Canada’s stats state 1 in 9 Canadians, & growing, is affected by #LongCovid. While hypocritical Govts distract us with pretend advocacy, their policies continue to harm, disable, kill citizens. New Zealand did better at the beginning, but look what “letting it rip” is doing.

One of the best ways to show solidarity to people with long Covid is to wear a respirator mask *especially* in healthcare

@unstopable_you @NotOstriching Again many of those pushing to lump MECFS & Long Covid haven't even been masking, especially the orgs/researchers/drs but even some Long Covid patients WHO GOT SICK FROM COVID. Not all who have been confused by conflation but many.

@unstopable_you @NotOstriching You can stand in solidarity about Long Covid. Without trying to turn it into something else. Its like Long Covid patients trying to take over a breast cancer awareness event or FND trying to take over a MECFS awareness event.. that's the point of awareness days.

Did ANY of the “top” LC researchers & Foundations post on their timelines to acknowledge #LongCovidAwarenessDay ? I’ll wait…. Feel free to post below.. I think the list is pretty short or non-existent?! And then they or their orgs come fundraising amongst patients? 🙃

I strongly oppose to seeing and classifying #LongCovid as a "mysterious" cluster of symptoms. I have concerns that this wrong view of LC could stem in part from economic considerations i.e. cutting the costs of care for patients. A clip from my talk for @TogetherWeMask
MaskTogetherAmerica@TogetherWeMask

Responding to a question on whether “Long COVID” should be viewed as mysterious, @elisaperego78 @longcovidriseup, who coined the term, opposes classifying the multi-systemic condition as a “Mysterious” cluster of unexplained chronic symptoms. 🔗 To Watch: masktogetheramerica.org/blog/long-covi…
