@affinity4anime Universes Beyond is not going to “kill magic” in fact its probably the number one thing that keeps it alive, I started playing magic because of it and I assume thats how many others also do. I too dislike the UB stuff but only when its lazy, and even then it wont kill magic.

A big reason Spiderman, TMNT and Marvel UB feel so boring (to me) is they introduce no exciting game mechanics.
Lord of the Rings had "ring tempts you", Final Fantasy had summon creatures and Avatar had bending.

@prismaticwhench Love how all the praise and hate for this card is so extreme, either people say it will break magic or people say if you like the card youre a fake fan who should never speak again. Its an ok card, free play your first draw each turn, just dont rely on it and its fine.

Everyone is clowning on casual’s takes about Molecule Man, and missing the point. The card isn’t broken or ban worthy, is it IS going to make Bracket 2-3 games miserable if the table isn’t prepared for it. I think that’s what people are trying to articulate.

@xtracombatphase Yes the art would “look jarring” considering theyre two different types if art styles and media types, one being superheroes and the other being fantasy. Genuinely the only thing I hate about UB is that its mostly lazy reskins rather than new ideas. Like the Thor card.

I’m not a content creator so you can believe me when I tell you these aren’t good sets. They cheapen the identity of the brand and the art looks jarring when compared to 30 literal years of the best fantasy art in the world.

@wildstwawberry It will either be the last set has the gauntlet with all the stones OR last set has just the gauntlet with a rainbow spell that requires sacrificing the other stone cards to then transform into the all stone infinity gauntlet.

YuGiOh is unplayable going second due to power creep
MTG is the Fortnite of card games with their endless cross-overs
& Pokémon's second hand market and rampant scalping have priced children out of the game
