I’m going to say it now so we are all clear. I’m not calling for Eddie Howe to be sacked because he remains the best manager for the job and has over achieved for four years. My view hasn’t changed on that. Yes this is difficult and he’s under huge pressure now but he deserves a chance to rebuild the team in the summer and go again. And I’m very confident he will bring more success in the future. Thanks for your time. Nobody will get me to change my mind. #nufc

The truth is Isak leaving so late on in the summer has set Newcastle back 3 years... if he left early summer for Liverpool I truly believe Liverpool would not have been in for Ekitike and he would have signed for us... the summer was shambles and set the tone for the season #NUFC

@BenMTobin He is clearly a good coach. An excellent one. Newcastle are worse because he hasn't had enough time to coach them... but if you want to play CL regularly you have to cope with that. They were desperate today.

@J90Pyl The issue was appointing Souness. Doesn’t change it was right time to move on. Replacing Howe is the key decision but time for PIF et al to put their money where their mouth is because “we want to be number 1”

@J90Pyl It wasn’t just because of a shit start to the season. The season previously ended poorly. He was making very questionable decisions with the squad such as selling Solano because of Ambrose. Was correct decision to sack Robson, and it’s the right time to move on from Howe.

All I'm saying we shouldn't be so reactionary in regards to dismissing Howe. We sacked Sir Bobby after two Champions League qualifications, because we had a shit start to the season. Then ended up with no Europe for years and the likes of Souness, Allardyce, McClaren in charge.
