@jacktparnell this is my ward. the drop is mainly because carrie was popular over plaid here. so it mainly went by name instead of party. although tbf i had 0 idea when the council election was so i didn’t even get to vote😭

obviously way closer than I would like but a hold is a hold. If anything shows how turbulent council elections are, especially by elections. Will be intresting to see if we're competitive in the seats we are challenging in the Mumbles and Morriston.

@s__cook An abysmal turnout in Queensway, Carrie H"s old seat. She always seemed to be enormously popular locally - this time it was on a knife edge, just 8 votes in it. One of the poorest wards in Wales & the scene of a race riot in 2003. Tories got 2 votes.

Acton & Maesdrye (Wrexham) Council by-election result. Probably indicative of where things are at rn. Plaid Cymru: 38.8%. +1.8% Reform: 34.1%. +34.1% A surge in support for Reform but not quite enough. V precarious given Plaid's support likely to fall.

@TodayAddison Unlikely. Some will, of course, but imagine many will just not out a second choice. Can't underprice that there's also probably a section of reform voters with labour as second choice. Small, but existing.
