I'm Boris and I created Claude Code. Lots of people have asked how I use Claude Code, so I wanted to show off my setup a bit. My setup might be surprisingly vanilla! Claude Code works great out of the box, so I personally don't customize it much. There is no one correct way to use Claude Code: we intentionally build it in a way that you can use it, customize it, and hack it however you like. Each person on the Claude Code team uses it very differently. So, here goes.

Your automation consultant is running a $186,000/hour scam. And I have the receipts. Last week, I analyzed 47 "enterprise automation solutions" being sold by agencies for $8K-$25K. Every. Single. One. Followed the same pattern. WHAT THEY TOLD THE CLIENT: "We'll architect a custom enterprise-grade lead enrichment solution using our proprietary AI framework." Timeline: 4-6 weeks Investment: $15,000 WHAT THEY ACTUALLY DID: Typed this: "Build an n8n workflow that scrapes leads from Apollo, enriches with Clearbit, validates emails, scores by company size, updates Salesforce" Time spent: 8 minutes Their markup: 186,900% That's $112,500/hour for typing a sentence and pressing enter. The 3 workflows they're ALL selling: 1. VOICE AI RECEPTIONIST ($8K-15K) What they say: "Custom trained AI with advanced call routing and intelligent scheduling" What it is: Vapi → Calendar → Slack notification Actual build time: 8 minutes 2. LEAD ENRICHMENT SYSTEM ($10K-20K) What they say: "Proprietary data enrichment with multi-source validation and scoring algorithms" What it is: Apollo → Email verify → Score → CRM Actual build time: 11 minutes 3. CONTENT AUTOMATION ($5K-12K) What they say: "AI-powered content multiplication engine with platform optimization" What it is: Blog post → AI rewrite → Social scheduler Actual build time: 6 minutes Here's the part that'll piss you off: These consultants can't even build the workflows themselves anymore. They're using AI tools that build from plain English. So they're charging you $15K to type a sentence into an app and hit enter. The barrier to automation isn't technical knowledge. It's knowing this scam exists. The 19-year-old closing $8K automation deals? They don't understand webhooks. They can't debug API calls. They've never touched JavaScript. They just describe what they want and let the tools do the work. While consultants schedule "discovery calls"... Builders ship solutions. I found an app that's absolutely destroying the consulting industry. what i love about this approach slack is where the team already works don't build a new tool use what exists use slack as the front-end google sheets + templates as the backend n8n as the glue no new training & no adoption friction

built an invoice generator in n8n that lives in slack type invoice details in slack bot generates invoice shares pdf & adds details to a databank share or edit if needed 5min of manual work & 4h of waiting for team down to 30sec 1ct/invoice here is why this actually matters:

why your sales cycle is twice as long as it should be & how to fix it: 1. rep has a 40-min call 2. everything important gets discussed 3. rep writes down 4 notes on a piece of paper 4. nothing gets saved to the CRM & nobody checks the long transcripts 5. rep calls back a week later with zero personalisation "just wanted to check in" one automation that summarize your existing call transcripts and adds them to the right lead in the CRM fixes all of this

automation isnt about replacing people its about killing the stuff that shouldnt require a person invoicing, data entry, follow up reminders, summarizing calls those should be automatic people should be doing the stuff that actually requires thinking

I recently closed one of my “dream 10” clients that I planed to work with since over two years here is what I learned from archiving this big goal: all it took was a simple DM at the right time don’t wait for stuff to be perfect or think your under qualified to reach out, chances are you have much more to offer them you think people forget they’re value when they are only surrounded with there own work & bubble of people It’s so easy no normalize your achievements when you work on them every day

saving 10 minutes a day with automation doesnt sound like much but here is the math 10 min/day × 250 workdays = 2,500 min = 41.7 hrs one full work week saved from a tiny automation is crazy imagine what you can get done if you have 50 of them
