@sentdefender Amazing how fast “market stability” and “maximum pressure” can end up in the same sentence.

After recently waiving sanctions on Russia oil in an attempt to stabilize skyrocketing oil prices resulting from the ongoing Iran War and the threats to the Strait of Hormuz, U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent told Fox News this morning that the Trump Administration may also waive sanctions soon on tankers belonging to and carrying oil for Iran.

@visegrad24 Nothing says “justice” like torture, fake confessions, and executions ordered by a terrified regime.

The Islamic regime in Iran has executed three January anti-regime protesters under bogus charges and forced confessions.
- Saleh Mohammadi
- Saeed Davoodi
- Mehdi Ghasemi
They were sentenced to death and executed following confessions extracted under torture, sham trials, no access to independent lawyers, and without the most basic principles of due process.

Energy and Infrastructure Minister Eli Cohen:
“The damage to the power grid in the north is limited and not significant. Israel Electric Corporation teams are operating on the ground and have already restored supply to most of the consumers who were disconnected. The remaining outages are expected to be resolved shortly. In addition, no substantial damage to infrastructure in Israel was recorded in the barrage fired toward the north.”

@visegrad24 If you stand on a bridge marked for strike, spare everyone the war-crimes lecture.

“Israel is bombing bridges”
Proceeds to drive over to stand on a bridge Israel announced it would strike imminently and had issued an evacuation order for.
And now the Russians are claiming “war crimes”
Steve Sweeney@SweeneySteve
Israel says it is bombing bridges to disrupt Hezbollah supply lines. But on the ground the reality is stark: entire routes into southern Lebanon are being severed — effectively cutting off around 1 million people from their homes. Families who have lived on this land for generations now face the very real risk of permanent displacement, unable to return, rebuild, or even reach what remains of their communities. What is being framed as a military tactic is also reshaping the map of civilian life

@visegrad24 Terror movements don’t build civilizations. They destroy what others built.

Islamists are petty, vindictive, stupid and resentful little people.
Just as they throw acid in the face of a beautiful woman they can’t have, they blow up the architecture and culture of a civilisation they could never build,
says Alex Shaw as he explores the destruction Islamists have inflicted across Africa and the Middle East.

@sentdefender Apparently “freedom of navigation” matters again when energy routes are on the line.

Qatar’s Prime Minister:
"We are evaluating the damages. They can be compensated, unlike human lives.
But our message is this: targeting such a facility, one that represents a major source of income and a backbone of the Qatari economy, is unacceptable.
It also supports many people around the world who are already under stress.
We hope that the Republic of Iran understands that it is depriving these vulnerable people of the support we currently provide."

Israeli strikes hit Bandar Anzal and the Caspian Sea overnight, destroying several Iranian Navy vessels and naval infrastructure, the IDF says.
Targets included a corvette, four missile boats, auxiliary ships, guard boats, a command center, and a shipyard. Some were docked, others at sea.
The military says the missile boats, though not an immediate threat from the Caspian, possess anti-aircraft and anti-submarine capabilities that could endanger Israeli aircraft over Iran.
The strike was planned days in advance using Naval and Military Intelligence and marks the first IDF operation in this region of Iran during the current conflict.
