Nobody is using Telegram in India for messaging. Telegram is mostly used by scammers in India. Most financial fraud (Billions of dollars) in India happens through Telegram
The Indian government should have banned Telegram years ago. It is long overdue.
I’ve been noticing the same pattern for years. Almost every fraudster immediately moves to Telegram. it’s harder to trace, easier to operate.
Calling this an internet freedom issue misses the point completely.
Telegram became one of the preferred platforms for financial fraud, scam networks, betting groups, piracy, and other illegal activities in India.

India’s IT ministry banned Telegram for one week because some users shared leaked exam questions. This punishes 150M+ ordinary Telegram users in India — not the insiders who leaked the exam materials. And the ban hasn't stopped anything. The leaks just moved to other apps.

Indian telecom Reliance is sabotaging access to Telegram for millions of users OUTSIDE India (including the UAE) via a rogue method called BGP hijacking. The sabotage seems intentional, as Reliance has ignored multiple reports. This may be part of a competitive war, as Reliance is partially owned by Meta — the company behind WhatsApp. Network operators are advised to reject unauthorized BGP announcements from Reliance (AS18101) to prevent route hijacks and ensure stable Internet access for their users. Such abuse of global Internet routing is alarming. I wouldn’t be surprised if Reliance/WhatsApp were also behind the recent lobbying effort to ban Telegram in India.

@UpdatesChennai No use as of now , we will be wasting our money and resources for an airport which no airlines will operate… probably another 25 years later might be worth it .. With so much potential Parandur should be priority and focus should be to spent money and resources there..

#THANJAVUR AIRPORT UPDATE : #Trichy Airport Director S.S. Raju said that administrative approval is being sought for a domestic airport at #Thanjavur, estimated to cost ₹100 crore. Around 55 acres have been allocated, and the project is awaiting clearance from #AAI. The airport is planned with a 3,400-metre runway, and building designs have already been prepared and construction will start after the approval soon. Have been taking international vacations for a long time. In the recent years, our people, especially traveling in groups are not behaving appropriately. Unreasonable demands and petty fights in air travel is becoming common. The way we sit, eat and engage in loud conversations at airports makes other people very uncomfortable.
I don't see a need to say 'Jai Hind' loudly as a group in foreign locations. Less said is better about how we behave in serving ourselves food in Buffet.
It's not that only Prime Minister or Foreign Minister or sportsman or any other celebrity represents India. Every Indian who travel overseas represents India.
India started gaining lot of attention and respect from the time of Y2K issue, when foreigners were impressed with talent and dedication of our youngsters.
As tourists, now we are now ruining country's image. Foreign tourist spots are not appropriate places to show our patriotism, be loud, create discomfort for tourists from every other country.
In museums, if 'don't touch' is mentioned, you can be sure of us touching. Wherever it is mentioned as 'no video', all our mobile phones would be on video mode.
Our behaviour is responsible for how other countries perceive us.

Consequence of dropping Parandur will not be felt now but in 15-20 years from now. Chennai is already feeling the heat for having an subpar airport. Major Cities including the likes of Vizag, Ahmedabad, Noida are building one & Chennai will be left behind... @CMOTamilnadu

Sources says TN Govt in all likelihood to drop Parandur Airport Project. Will setup a Sipcot Industrial Park on those acquired 1,700 acre park.
Airport not needed. But ok with Industrial Park..🙂
