-HC on July 8 lambasted AMC over putting false records about STPs in affidavit & observed HC is doing work tht AMC commissioner is supposed to do. Citing PCB report, HC observed 2 STPs of Vasna & Pirana wr in extremely poor state & most wr non-compliant. timesofindia.indiatimes.com/city/ahmedabad…

The Hesaraghatta grasslands should be preserved as a natural habitat. This large area (5000+ acres) not far from Bengaluru, is eyed by politicians and others connected to them who are deeply invested in land development, and therefore don't want any restrictions.
