@WhateverTIS @cfcsimv2 i still disagree with you, i think it’s a red card but i can understand that you aren’t like the other people defending the challenge and i respect that

Crying bro how’s this not a red ???

🦈@cfcyusxf
that’s a red card but they ain’t sending him off because it’s Messi…cmon now??
English

You're wrong. I don't even regard 90% of the "likes" I got because I know they are the same people that would say that is 100% a red card if it was Ronaldo doing it and only support it because in this scenario the truth just so happens to "defend" their hero.
I don't care for peoples subjective views, I am not ridden with that disease. I deal with facts, not fiction or bias. Do I expect you to understand that? Absolutely not, much less believe it, but in case I am wrong it's worth the snowball's chance in a volcano.

@WhateverTIS @cfcsimv2 i’m sorry bro but if it was any other player you wouldn’t even THINK about how the foot is retracted, you’d just instantly say it’s a red

@SaneFcb @iMiaSanMia I can't imagine how it would be to be this brain dead and unintelligent.

@415holgate I will personally put her in second place behind the epstein files where ONLY the victims are censored and nothing else.
English

@aoki244uver It's obstruction and it's completely undeniable. Whether it was on the inside or outside, I am not sure of. If it was inside, then it's a clear cut penalty.

@TrueFactsStated This has been said for at least six months. This is the new "Iran is 2 weeks away from nuclear weapons" thing.
English

@254lyt @nazzobetweeting Well that's not true, we have people facing restrictions here as well, BUT, nowhere near as much as you do. Just wanted to point out that we're not by default restriction free to go to the US from here either.
English

@nazzobetweeting It also helps that their passport doesn’t face restrictions to enter United States. An african who can afford tickets can still be denied entry.

@nazzobetweeting Norway is the richest country, with the worlds poorest inhabitants. The government in Norway has all the money they Are catastrophic politicians.

I love America, but I hate to burst your bubble: if you are on Twitter, and you are getting posts about how Europeans visiting for the World Cup are completely in awe of American food and grocery stores— I have to be honest with you and tell you you are being fed complete nonsense by the algorithm.
I’ve traveled to almost every European country, and there isn’t a single one which doesn’t have better grocery stores and higher-quality restaurant food than the USA.
Just being honest, as a doctor should

@marewho12 Lizzie catching more strays than both the mom and brother combined and not even in the situation. Damn.

Let's get the obvious out of the way first, if he finishes that strike with the foot, he breaks the guys foot at the bare minimum, probably his ankle. The contact Messi does have displaces how he puts his foot down into the pitch, which is by far the worst part of this situation, however, that is accidental, not intentional.
The reason it's not a red, but a crystal clear yellow and why so many are fooled is because of the point of contact. It looks gruesome, we can all agree on that. When you, however, study what actually happens, the second Messi feels contact, he retracts his foot, meaning he had no power in it, because you're not stopping that momentum out of balance if you're using power. There is no malice, there is no real chance of danger because he is not following through with the tackle and the tackle has no power.
It does NOT meet the criteria for a red card. It's not overly aggressive, proven by the fact he retracts his foot when he feels contact in a position he is out of balance in, there is no recklessness to it for the same reason. You also can not predict a opponents physical movement at all times and accidents do happen, this is one of those cases.
Same people that claim this is a red, do not even understand that the power of your punch doesn't even come from your arms, so the chances people understand this is probably 0-none, but for those that care about real facts, that's why he didn't get a red in this situation and VAR can not go back and give yellows.

The headlines “Messi won the match…” but the real story? He was handed a free pass on an obvious red card foul.
Why is he so protected?
This level of favoritism is getting weird.
Carolina ❤️🔥@realCarola2Hope
Let’s be honest: if anyone else had committed that foul, they’d have been sent off. The only reason Messi stayed on the pitch is because he’s Messi. It was a definite red card.
