The evidence is overwhelming… UBI works

@Tesla My favorite feature!
But it needs to be processed in-vehicle. Way too often it can’t execute a command due to internet connection.
Also needs better search functionality and alternate commands (e.g. operating stuff like defrost is very particular wording).
English

Simply use your voice to control car settings, navigation, climate, media & more
Scott@ScottPolhamus
@Tesla voice commands make all the difference in the technology experience. I use them constantly so I can focus on the road and drive safely, especially when it’s raining or snowing. Many people have no idea you can control almost anything in the car!
English

@GregDeLaere @jimfarley98 Oof, yeah that would suck. I assume you’re in a Lightning? I’m surprised it’s THAT much different from my Model 3. I just stop for 10 mins every couple hours, to recover all the range I spent. And that’s usually because someone needs the bathroom.
English

@jimfarley98 Hi Jim. Thanks for your leadership.
I love the smooth and reliable acceleration, and “filling up” at home.
I dislike 45 min pit stops every 3 hours on long trips.
Love the quiet, emissions free ride. Dislike the changes to simple controls.

@mngreen13 @DhimanMMarapana @rothko_fan @HlabJohn @Gaetano_BCE3 @unusual_whales Dude revolutionized multiple industries and your take is He’s tag because some of his miracles are late 🤦♂️
English

@DhimanMMarapana @rothko_fan @HlabJohn @Gaetano_BCE3 @unusual_whales A lot of lies. He was supposed to have something built on Mars by now. Cybertruck has been promised for years. Now he thinks Twitter will have half the world’s economy pumping through it. He is a clown.

@elenasb_ Makes sense.

FSD Beta 11.4.6 Starts Roll Out, Musk Says V12 Is “Mind-Blowing” notateslaapp.com/news/1537/fsd-…
English

@CoffeeOptimist @herbertong It means designing a product or process to be as efficient and effective as it possibly can be, limited only by physics and resources. As opposed to the usual process, which is designed around all kinds of extrinsic concerns (contracts, perception, culture, unions, etc.).
English

@herbertong Honest question because I keep seeing it everywhere. What does it mean to be "built from ground up from first principles"?
English

Make no mistakes about it, this is a defining moment in Tesla’s history!
The first vehicle made by Tesla (or from any other manufacturer ever) built from the ground up from first principles.
Like the Pyramids, the design will be seen in history as iconic and will no doubt survive the test of time.
The manufacturing first approach might initially see the CyberTruck ramp to be slow at first as the production line is brand spanking new with many steps NEVER ever done before. But once it’s finalized, the production process and ramp up will be the fastest ever and will likely set records.
Congrats @woodhaus2 and @elonmusk and the entire Tesla team @tesla
You can see the immense pride and glee in the picture below!
Tesla@Tesla
First Cybertruck built at Giga Texas! 🤠
English

@david_kleriga @herbertong As he said, he expects it to start slow because it is a new process, which never goes exactly to plan.
English

@herbertong I'm not sure why so many think that the ramp up will start slowly. This was designed for fast manufacturing, simple and with fewer steps. Maybe an average manufacturer would start slow... But this is Tesla!
English

@seldon_raven @herbertong Actually designing that way could very much be motivated by greed, as it is clearly a very efficient and successful business model. Though, in this case, I think Tesla and Elon are clearly doing things for the right reasons.
English

@herbertong 1st principles 🔥❤️🤩 for some of us on the spectrum who struggle with society, this thing is like a beacon of Hope. It shows that a giant corporation can be governed by truth and logic, not greed. My heart is full.
English

@brooklyn_brit @RandyWKirk1 @garyblack00 If robotaxi is as profitable as Tesla claims then Tesla would not be selling the cars to consumers anymore. I don’t know why so few people consider this when discussing this topic. Owners putting their car on the network would be for existing owners.
English

There’s a huge divide between the $TSLA uberbull view that TSLA will be worth more than $AAPL and Saudi Aramco ( $ARAMCO AB) combined ($5.1T) in a few years, and the $TSLAQ view that TSLA is a zero. Neither side seems totally grounded. I and most institutions who own TSLA try to be more pragmatic - obviously bullish, with a healthy skepticism toward hype, and employing equal doses of strategic insight and disciplined financial analysis to support our bullish outlook.
To get to $5.1T valuation, TSLA shares need to go from $281 today to around $1,457/share (5x) - not out of the question but with my 2030 adj eps of $24 and 10M annual delivs, that would require a 60x P/E in 2030 - which seems rich with 20% annualized eps growth from 2030-on as EV growth decelerates with global adoption already at 60% (law of large numbers).
For those who want to translate this to a future $TSLA stock price, multiply 2030 EPS by a target P/E based on a forward growth rate. For 2030, I use a 30x P/E, assuming 1.5x PEG and 20% forward eps growth, which implies $720 in 2030 value (30x $24). On my est 3.5B fully diluted shares that’s $2.5T in 2030 TSLA market cap (vs $891B today). I discount that back to the present at a 13.1% cost of equity (3.5% risk-free rate, 6% equity risk premium, 1.6x beta) which is ~$320/share. If my 2027-2030 EPS estimates increase I would increase my $TSLA PT.

@allegro1950 @RandyWKirk1 @garyblack00 Those are very ignorant takes.
-Boston Dynamics has no intention of making high-volume cost-effective bots.
-Tesla both designs and manufactures batteries.
-No one has an FSD system as capable as Tesla; they are all expensive, limited-use, or just bad.
English

@RandyWKirk1 @garyblack00 So many of these, ‘just add ins’, are not Tesla unique, most are available to every EV OEM, and consortiums thereof. Robots? Hyundai owns Boston Dynamics. Batteries? Tesla isn’t a maker, it is a user. ADS? Every auto OEM and others. Competition reduces Teslas potential every day!
English

@garyblack00 This is nothing but a dressed up strawman argument. You claim to be comparing to the extremes but ignore the technologies that the extremes are arguing over (Robotaxi, Optimus, Insurance, Supercomputing, etc.).
No Tesla “uber-bull” is stopping at cars.
English

@DirtyTesLa Excited to see what it improves for others, while doing absolutely nothing for my area, like the last year of updates 😢

11.4.5 rolling out to employees 🎉
Excited to see what it fixes 👀
Teslascope@teslascope
The latest version of @Tesla’s Full Self-Driving (Beta) v11.4.5 is now rolling out to employees and special groups. The software version is 2023.7.25.
English

@GuyDealership Demand for EVs will be well over 50% but it will be supply-limited, due to legacy auto lagging on production and pricing, so… maybe 30-50%.
EVs have been growing about 50% per year, on average, for many years. Tesla is certainly going to keep growing ravenously.
English

@ForwardFaith @cybrtrkguy There are buttons… on the screen 😉 But, seriously, you can control all the stuff you need for driving through voice controls and almost all of it through the stalk + scroll-wheels on the steering wheel.
For the rest, I don’t see how physical buttons would be an improvement.
English

@cybrtrkguy If I was buying today, definitely Tesla. But when I bought, the tax breaks were flipped and the cost just couldn't work for me.
Still, the 1 thing I hate is that everything including the freaking air vents is controlled from the screen. Why not a few buttons
