For the record, this isn’t an “anti-AI” tweet. I use AI plenty in my day-to-day workflow, especially for menial tasks.
My major concern is regarding the people who are using it for thought generation and content creation, and the long-term effects of that.

If Congress shuts down FISA and fails to fund the Department of Homeland Security at the same time, it will be a new height of irresponsibility.
Democrats’ refusal to fund CBP and ICE is beyond dangerous. DHS was created after 9/11 based on lessons learned from the attack itself.
To my House colleagues: FISA is an essential program that gives us situational awareness, and eyes and ears on the bad guys who are foreign nationals and want to harm the United States. Shutting this program down – given the threats we face – would be a dereliction of duty.
Shutting down FISA and failing to fund DHS is a lethal cocktail that entices our adversaries to be more aggressive and I fear it will lead to another 9/11 style attack.
