Marcio Reolon and Filipe Matzembacher’s Night Stage is one of the best films of last year - a De Palma-esque exploration of a closeted politician in a secret affair developing a public sex fetish. The Brazilians are really leading the forefront with sexy queer movies.

@TheGayChingy Obsession is one of his underrated gems. And even though it’s really different from his early work, I think Femme Fatale might be his actual best film - it’s a real coalescing of all of De Palma’s interests and abilities, basically his Mulholland Dr.

BAD DAY AT BLACK ROCK (1955) Perhaps the best director's commentary ever. John Sturges shares more film info, history and knowledge in the first five minutes than other directors can in two hours. Paul Thomas Anderson said this commentary is better than four years of film school.
