@portabible @soonrightaway Lol it’s one of her best albums, if not the best.
English

@soonrightaway people were calling this album of the decade and it's not even top half of her catalog
English

great album. people were calling Anthony Fantano a rape apologist for giving this a 7/10

Remember when we had to pretend this was good bc it was lockdowns and nothing else was going on
English

i really don't see how this is a bad thing

@puppetgrl_ It’s definitely a trend
English

@CarlZha If you don’t know how to clean your butthole without a bidet, you shouldn’t be allowed in public.
English

@versusplank I never saw that one but recent viewings of Whatever Works and Midnight in Paris were painful experiences.
English

@aileenreturns Partial to a few of the late works…sad state of affairs that a recent rewatch of Cafe Society played better for me than I remembered (ranked it among his worst when it first came out).
English

@TheAcademy And where is her Oscar for Birth? Dogville? To Die For? Cowards!
English

@myeoghanprivatx just remembered when it was supposed the two of them in The Danish Girl
English

@TheGayChingy Obsession is one of his underrated gems. And even though it’s really different from his early work, I think Femme Fatale might be his actual best film - it’s a real coalescing of all of De Palma’s interests and abilities, basically his Mulholland Dr.
English

@AngelusCardano @vashikoo Yeah and he wasted a million feet
English

@vashikoo Malick shot a million feet of film including 65mm for The New World. So what? Don't really get the comparison you're making apart from a vein attempt to sound relevant for being the fluffer in the Deadpool edit suite.
English

Director John Sturges shot just 16 hours of raw film footage during production of BAD DAY AT BLACK ROCK (1955) and often used the first take in the final film. By comparison, DEADPOOL (2016) shot 555 hours of digital raw footage.
Vashi Nedomansky, ACE@vashikoo
BAD DAY AT BLACK ROCK (1955) Perhaps the best director's commentary ever. John Sturges shares more film info, history and knowledge in the first five minutes than other directors can in two hours. Paul Thomas Anderson said this commentary is better than four years of film school.

@RealTrollFeeder @EastEndJoe Yes, you should blame people for joining the gestapo and actively participating in evil.
English

@EastEndJoe Do you blame the kids for joining? 50k sign on bonus, college loan forgiveness, it's the only way they can get a jump in this world.
English

@paleonormie There’s literally no excuse for joining the gestapo
English

Aging millennials are handling this really poorly lol
Gen Z kids have so little opportunity that no amount of comparing ice to the gestapo is gonna dissuade them from their most direct route to a livable income

low key lighting and sterile coloring is one of fincher’s hallmarks and he pioneered digital cinematography in that style. his dark shots work because they fit the true crime and corporate subjects but copycats can’t do it like him so and now everything looks lazy and under lit

jackson.@cheaperby12film
often think of alex ross perry's theory that david fincher and the house of cards pilot basically ruined how tv looks
