@tomhfh But most pensioners have small private pensions too, so will be paying even more tax.
You know, being taxed again on the same money we were taxed on when we earned it, and then scrimped to put it into a pension.

@MulletFarm Amed is nice, it's a stony beach but there are some great bike rides along nearby coastal paths. Candi Dasa on the East Coast is lovely and traffic is much better in that part of the island

There were identical. No growth since 2002 sounds grimly accurate

Remarkable that ONS figures show real wages in London are today at the same level they were in 2002 (i.e. pre-credit bubble) and are 8% down on their 2008 peak. This is the second worst performance of any UK region (after East Anglia).
