Hello @fccpcnigeria, can you get @FMCAbuja to refund money for services they didn't render? For over 3 months now, FMC Abuja has refused to refund money deposited for services they didn't render, saying "it is non-refundable". Cc HM Prof. @muhammadpate @Fmohnigeria

Guys, avoid crossing your legs when you sit down. It looks effeminate, temporarily raises your blood pressure and can affect your fertility. To avoid crossing your legs when you sit down, sit up straight. Sitting up straight forces you to sit with your legs open. You see, it's harder to cross your legs unless you slouch. Don’t slouch. Be erect - like a man!😊 I am Ezemmuo. I know things.

@flyvaluejet I paid ₦857,997 for a trip scheduled for 11 April 2026 yesterday. I cancelled because I later discovered the flight was overpriced. Now, I am being told that the refund amount would only be my taxes. This discrepancy is extremely concerning and does not appear reasonable. I would not let my money go like that. @FAAN_Official @mikeachimugu01 @fccpcnigeria

Imagine your pastor standing on the pulpit this Sunday and announcing “Due to gross misconduct, the entire choir is suspended till further notice.” By next Sunday, half of the choir has relocated to another church where their “gift will be appreciated.” There was a time responsibilities were privileges. Now responsibilities are contracts. A time service was honour. Now service is negotiation. I saw a generation where correction was part of discipleship. Today, correction is interpreted as disrespect. Before, when a pastor said, “Step down for a while,” people went back to prayer. Now when a pastor says, “Step down,” people step out. This is the reason a choir member can go clubbing post on her social media handles and pastor will like... We have moved from raising sons to managing talents and the difference is loud. Sons can be corrected. Talents must be maintained. Sons stay for alignment. Talents stay for allowance. Sons ask, “Where did I miss it?” Talents ask, “Who do you think you are?” I saw a generation where you could be sweeping the church floor faithfully, and the pastor says, “You disobeyed instruction. Don’t sweep again.” And that alone becomes your season of brokenness, repentance, and growth. Today, remove someone from sweeping and they remove themselves from the church. They tell you how they've helped you and your ministry.... The altar was never designed to run like an office. It was designed to raise men. Lord, raise sons again. Raise men who value correction more than position. Raise hearts that fear losing alignment more than losing platforms. Raise servants who understand that the greatest reward for service is not payment, It is preservation. Amen

First, you start with knowing God, then you begin to love Him and you move to serving Him and finally start fearing Him. It is when you begin to fear Him, that you start manifesting the spirit of wisdom. There is a deep relationship between the fear of God & Wisdom.

@Omojuwa Leakages at the tollgates in Abuja esp. are mind boggling. If 10 cars drive through those gates, at least two, won't bother collecting receipt. When you consider the no. of cars that drive through daily & non-receipted tolls fee, we're talking losses in 100s of thousands/day.

If you’ve got a flight to catch in Lagos or Abuja, you’d better set out to the airport at least 1 hour than earlier intended. The new FAAN card is causing traffic. And these delays could last all week, if not more. I love the idea of the FAAN card. Nigeria must set out to collect as much revenue digitally, to plug big leakages. I have found myself repeatedly reminding the folks at the toll point to give me my receipt. Without the receipt, it’s like dashing them money. A lot of people are in a rush, they won’t remember to ask. They already got their access. A digital payment like the FAAN card or regular card payment makes it harder to steal this revenue at source. Way to go but the usual stress that comes with change is already at play. Plan your travel accordingly. PS: This post wasn’t sponsored by FAAN, even though it should have been!

Learn to be comfortable with money sitting still. Most people spend the moment they receive. The moment your account looks full, something must be bought, something must be celebrated. Train yourself to do nothing with money. Let it sit. Let it accumulate. Let it feel boring.

FCCPC Establishes Case of Price Fixing By Local Airlines * Interim Report Documents Abuse During Xmas Season  * Probe of Foreign Airlines Next  A review undertaken by the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC) has uncovered patterns of price manipulation perpetrated by some local airlines during the last festive season.  The findings are contained in the interim report released today (Thursday) by the Commission’s department of Surveillance and Investigations.  The Commission announced an industry-wide investigation earlier in January.  The forensic exercise benefitted from data collated by the Commission from airlines operating local routes in the country.  The report compares domestic airline pricing from the December 2025 festive period with post-peak January 2026 fare levels. Preliminary analysis indicates that fares recorded during the December peak were materially higher than those observed in the post-peak period across several routes despite relative stability in critical operating variables like fuel price, government taxes and foreign exchange.  The differences observed in fares therefore appear to reflect airlines’ arbitrary pricing decisions, including yield management and capacity allocation, rather than any variation in regulatory fees. Route-level analysis shows that higher fares coincided with periods of reduced seat availability during predictable seasonal demand peaks. On some high density routes, peak fares were clustered within relatively narrow ranges across several operators. For instance, on certain corridors like Abuja-Port Harcourt, peak fares were several times higher than corresponding post-peak levels. On selected routes, the difference in the price of a single ticket reached approximately ₦405,000. Median fares across the sampled routes also rose markedly during the festive window when compared with post-peak benchmarks. However, the interim report recognises that seasonal demand pressures, scheduling constraints and fleet utilisation may also affect pricing during peak travel periods.  These factors remain under consideration as part of the Commission’s ongoing review. Commenting on the release of the interim report, the Executive Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the FCCPC, Mr. Tunji Bello, said the review is part of the Commission’s statutory responsibility to promote competitive markets and safeguard consumers. “This assessment is intended to provide clarity on pricing behaviour during predictable peak travel periods. The Commission’s role is not to disrupt legitimate commercial activity, but to ensure that market outcomes remain consistent with competition and consumer protection principles under the law,” Mr. Bello said. He noted that the Commission is conducting further structural and route-level analysis before reaching any conclusions. “It is important to emphasise that this is an interim report. Our next action will be dictated by full facts established at the end of the review exercise.  Then, the Commission will decide whether any regulatory guidance, engagement or enforcement steps are necessary, strictly in accordance with the law,” he said. The report identifies the possible relevance of Sections 59, 72, 107, 108, 124 and 127 of the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Act 2018, which respectively address the prohibition of agreements in restraint of competition, the prohibition of abuse of a dominant position, the offence of price-fixing, conspiracy to commit offences under the Act, the right to fair dealings, and the prohibition of unfair, unreasonable or unjust contract terms. Meanwhile, Mr. Bello announced that foreign airlines will come under FCCPC radar after the ongoing review of local airlines in view of widespread complaints of exploitative fares they allegedly charge Nigerians on certain routes compared to fares in neighbouring countries that are of equal distance.
