@Elvish_Harper @SmithMotors123 @mauddweeb @IGN Yeah, I prefer how it is all implied and/or ruthlessly summarized. Then you read things "House Washington used their atomics" and the room for interpretation of everything is huge.

I also think it just doesn't fit with the implied history of the setting in the originals. Maybe this is an insane opinion not backed up by the text, but when I read the original series I interpreted the Butlerian Jihad as a religious movement against computers, not a war against a robot army. And when the original series said men created thinking machines and then were ruled by them, I interpreted this as the setting's internal dogma against computers, not a robot army using humans as cattle for no particular benefit.
