I saw yesterday that a teammate of mine posted a long note that had all the cringey hallmarks of AI-generated text: very short sentences for emphasis, "this is not just...it's...", "...and that changes everything..." , etc. And it struck me all the sudden that for those who haven't done a lot of reading and writing pre-AI, they might not even realize how cringe it is. They might think that is just what good writing is like.

This work truly ought to be very widely read across denominations. because it’s an utter evisceration of John Henry Newman that nevertheless understands the complexities of attempting to speak on behalf of a “tradition” in full.
EO is very dumb to neglect it, imo.

@bartonkyle It sounds familiar but I can't recall it. I do have something similar in my X bio, and I admit I take an impish delight when somebody on here sneeringly dismisses me not on the basis of my stated views but because I'm "just" a student. Kind of a snob trap.
