especially in The Humanities. sure, NOBODY likes the thought of having their jobs replaced, but there's a literal destruction of the soul happening with genAI-Bros attempting to REPLACE Art, Music, Sculpture, Literature etc with AI slop made by people too lazy and envious to actually do the work and understand WHY they're called The Humanities. a machine can replace labor, but the "labor" IS THE POINT of The Humanities, both why we do it and why we appreciate it. and even the consoomer normies who "don't care that AI made it we'll watch/listen/buy it anyways" benefit from the humanity intrinsic to creative spaces. it's like what Brutalism did to Architecture: a quick, efficient, easy way to do "a thing" that bypasses all of the value of actually doing "the thing." and now our cities are gray and miserable and you can literally SEE it on their faces. we are human. we want human things, made by human beings. AI in STEM is good. AI in The Humanities is bad. simple as can be.
