Even with all we've seen lately, this exchange still stopped me in my tracks. We now get *moderates* advising politicians to actively seek common ground with *genocidal antisemites* (Matt doesn't contest this description of Piker!) by concurring with them about the Jewish state!

הדבר שהכי מפחיד אותי בישראל 2026 הם הבחורות והבחורים הצעירים האלה שלא רואים שם בן אדם, לא רואים שם אישה מבוגרת, אין דבר מפחיד יותר מזה

IDF announces the killing of a soldier in Lebanon: Sergeant Moshe Yitzchak HaCohen Katz, 22, from New Haven, Connecticut.

Trump on Saudi leadership: He didn’t think he would be kissing my ass. He really didn’t... Now he has to be nice to me. He better be nice to me!

Emma Watson hired a private investigator in 2016. Not to expose someone. Not for security. To find a homeless woman who once gave her a copy of “Mom & Me & Mom” by Maya Angelou一 just to thank her in person, with no cameras no press, no PR team. She hid books across London subway stations with handwritten notes for strangers to find. Paused red carpet interviews mid-sentence to talk about education and inequality. At 25, she stood before the UN and launched HeForShe - a global campaign for gender equality. “If not me, who? If not now, when?” A Brown University graduate who reads 100+ books a year. Worth $80M+- and still rides public transport. Still shows up quietly. Still does good when no one's watching. Fame didn't change her. She changed what fame looks like.

Jewish students should not be subject to constant hate and intimidation on their own campuses! Individuals should not score political brownie points by platforming antisemites! Where is the leadership at @UMich and @michiganstateu? Silence is unacceptable! Federal funding should go to institutions that prioritize education, not ideological agendas or tolerated hate. @StopAntisemites @realDonaldTrump @realDonaldTrump @AGPamBondi @ChadGilmartinCA @GatesMcgavick @N_Baldassarre

1) I think people in this online echo chamber majorly overestimate how much normal people/Michiganders know and care about Hasan Piker. 2) I’ve had major issues with some things he’s said, but IMO he’s not in the same realm as Nick Fuentes. 3) This pivot from McMorrow seems like a strategic bet that Stevens voters are more gettable than El-Sayed voters, and maybe that more undecideds are deciding between McMorrow and Stevens. And that she was never going to outflank Abdul on being progressive or on Israel-Gaza — essentially conceding the left lane and trying to chart a Goldilocks path to the nomination. 4) Whether intentional or not, I think this will make it more likely that AIPAC will turn their fire on El-Sayed alone, rather than both McMorrow and El-Sayed (which seemed to be their plan before).
