This doesn't mean form doesn't exist. Confidence is real. Flow—State is real. Fitness is real. But a streak alone isn't proof of any of them. Before you say "he's in form, start him" — check: Is he getting better chances? Better positions? Higher touch count in the box? If yes — that's form. Start him. If none of that moved — you're watching randomness with a story attached.

Exactly why I've only ever preached for the Leão / Acheampong / Pacho level profiles. La Masia is currently outputting a golden generation of talent. We don't need to sign for the sake of signing. The gaps are minimal — and that’s exactly why the bar has to be at its highest. Identify what’s missing, fill it with only the very elite. Wait for the right one if needed. Especially up front. Just look at our history. Non-world-beaters should not be allowed. We are FC Barcelona. With all due respect.

This is the most underrated passage in the whole piece. When Olmo and Ferran came on, Roby clocks that Ferran was already making the run before Olmo's decision even happened. Not because he was coached to. Because he knows Olmo. That's not tactics. That's a team that genuinely knows each other. And right now that might be Barca's most underrated weapon.

Fermin is the most underrated player in this Barca side and it's not close. (He has had a crazy growth rate when you deep it) Pick-and-rolls with Lamine, blind-sided runs, constantly available in any pocket of the pitch — and sustaining that same engine across 90 minutes at the same output. Just re-watch the 4th goal. His engine isn't just athleticism. It's knowing exactly where to be before the space even opens.

Truth is though, there probably won’t be another Messi in the next 50 years. But Dowman does share many of the same natural gifts relative to his size. No doubt he’ll be one of the few players who can affect a game in all phases — practically positionless because his skillset is too large to be boxed in.

Saw Max Dowman in what I believe was his first ever 1st-team appearance for Arsenal. My thoughts were exactly as written — he reminded me of Messi. The balance—ability to breeze past men 15 years his senior like likework. The real generational talents don’t need your validation. They force their way in to first-team football early. That alone should tell you everything about the ceiling. Even then, allow them years to reach it.

Live Review 🤓 — Max Dowman 1– Apart from Leao, he was the only other player that got people off their seats. 2– He reminded me of freaking Messi, that’s the only way I can put it 😂 Shoutouts to all the Hale End lads. They were proper adorable and stayed close to each other the whole time.

When you can bag the taller Benzema — the answer should be YES or YES. This blend of natural talent and freakish athleticism always prevails. What Ekitike has isn’t something you develop — you either have it or you don’t. Learn from history. Ekitike is much swaggier though.

Play out wide. Facilitate. Capacity to score 35/40 goals on top of it all. Difference is he’s faster than all of them—Has a wider range of finishing and has every sign of being a big game player. Youngest of the lot at 23 too. And when you remember he’s 6’3 coupled with the calibre of passers in our squad? Argument over.

@RondoAlchebz I disagree brother. Diomande would cost as much as Barcola and Barcola is better than Diomande. Barcola has proven it too. Besides, PSG had Pacho/Hakimi/Nuno in their back line and an incredible duo in midfield. Think different perspectives!
