From a friend in Ukraine, this Baptist church is 100 yards from the missile strike. A husband, wife, and child on their way to Palm Sunday services was killed. Pray for our brothers and sisters in peril.

The Palm Sunday attack on Christians going to church in Ukraine by Russia is something that should outrage every American Christian. When God’s people are persecuted anywhere, those of us who live in freedom should not look away and tell our brothers and sisters to merely “be warned and filled (James 2:16). The good news is that God sees. Jesus said to persecute his people is to persecute him (Acts 9:4).

Today at church we commissioned a young couple to be missionaries to an undisclosed location overseas. They became Christiana thru our college ministry to @TCU a few years ago. This is the good stuff.

IMB sending is my favorite part of the SBC annual meeting. Over 80 sent to the nations. Many of them going to places with security concerns so we see their shadow as we hear their story. We may not see them, but what a joy to know God does and we are partners in sending.
