Test - Decided to test how effective it was scanning some known issues on a dummy device. GOOD NEWS - Malwarebytes PREMIUM $ Plan did notice phoning home attempts and blocked those outbound connections. BUT - trying to remove the root cause: Malwarebytes most thorough scan came back clean — 0 threats detected. Ran free ESET Online Scanner right after and it found 19 resolved + 8 unresolved detections. 😬 Free tool did what the paid one didn't. Always run a second scanner. #cybersecurity #malware #hack A FREE @ESET scanner caught all the issues and quarantined, while an equally thorough scan on @Malwarebytes just had a thumb up its arse looking confused. 🤣 Looking to remove @Malwarebytes from our tech blog recommended offerings. Pretty sad after this test lol 🤣 Thoughts?
