@FerryCorsten The Wynwood shift is real. South Beach had its moment but Wynwood has that creative energy that actually matches the music. Twenty years of Miami for me too. There's nothing quite like that first day energy when the whole industry lands at once.

I've been going to Miami regularly for the past 2 decades, and it’s always great to kick off festival season during Miami Music Week. In recent years, all my shows have been in Wynwood, exciting to see the shift from South Beach to this area. Are you swinging by? Hope to see you!

A musician just got criminally charged for generating 660,000 AI songs and botting billions of streams. He made $8 million. But here's the thing everyone's missing 🧵

The problem isn't AI. The problem is we built a music industry where the metric that matters most (streams) has almost nothing to do with whether anyone actually *cares* about the music.

I asked Claude to build my daughter an app that plugs into our piano, can read live key strokes, can show her sheet notes and key view and ends with a Guitar Hero style game. All while giving progressively harder songs. Today she’s using It and crushing It.

@RG_Leachman @eterevsky This is a response to the guy’s point but it’s not a response to the guy’s point. This is not at all a way to learn to play music. It’s a way to learn to play a game. I was a performance piano major, studied with many teachers my entire life. This is not a good solution

I hear you on this. The soul and emotion piece is real. For me, the line is about where the human creativity enters. Using AI to help execute an idea feels different than asking it to have the idea. But I get why it all blurs together for people. Thanks for sharing the hot take 🙏

The only thing I'm not a fan of is composing music with AI. I think it removes the creativity and the soul right out of it. Emotion is SO important in music so when you take that away, it has no feeling or connection. It's cheating. I love to feel what someone is going through when I listen to music. That's my hot take 🤷🏽‍♂️😂

Just saw @Midjourney dropped v8 and I have thoughts. I was playing with the very first image generation tools in Python environments back when you needed a PhD to make them work. Watching them evolve from "interesting experiment" to "holy s*#t this changes everything" has been one of the wildest rides of my career. 🧵

I swapped ChatGPT for Claude about a month ago on my iPhone main screen to use it more and just switched back to ChatGPT. I constantly have to correct with Claude because it makes mistakes or is just overall slow and not good enough. Just my experience, I don’t use it in the way as most people do perhaps, but for the day-to-day, it’s been pretty shit.
