Negative is not necessarily bad especially if it shows you some truth about yourself. Women hate facing the truth about their own dark side and when they encounter a man who can see through their facade and point it out, they feel threatened, coz none of their tricks going to work on him. This is not "staying away from negative energy", its more like "oh shit it hurts to hear a man talk about my dark side openly like that, run!!".
