Got this working! It’s still very early alpha, but Charty’s now able to fetch Health data directly from HealthKit without having to go through #Shortcuts Hoping this’ll make Charty 2.0 more useful for people interested in Health widgets who can’t don’t know #Shortcuts.

Instead of getting just an ID as the output of the New Chart action, now you’ll get a fully featured #Shortcuts Entity. These entities now hold the data stored in the charts, and can be easily accessed and queried! 🚀

I’ve gotten many requests for a way to inspect chart data directly from #Shortcuts, instead of having to recreate everything, every time. Glad to say this is coming to Charty 2.0 thanks to the new chart entities!

@credsell You can actually already build histograms today with some Shortcuts pre-processing! Check this example: icloud.com/shortcuts/b46a… But I’ll take a look if I can add a way to make them easier on 2.0 😁

Been hard at work on Charty 2.0 these last couple of days! 🤓 As mentioned, it’s an entire rewrite of the app, here are some of the changes: - UIKit -> #SwiftUI - iOS-Charts -> #SwiftCharts - Intents file -> #AppIntents

As Swift Charts doesn’t have Pie and donut charts, I’ve had to build my own. This allowed me to create new stuff like this two level donut chart 😊 #Shortcuts actions will get a big revamp with better error handling, more intuitive parameters and new actions!

@_1enin_ Hello there! You could set up an automation to log the date and times the trigger happens into a CSV file or into @datajarapp, and then use Charty to visualize it!

@chartyios is there a way to log and graph homekit sensor activity (eg. motion sensor or temperature sensor)?

This will include day automations, integrating with @agenda and @chartyios. Should be fun!

Just moved back to @SMARTYMobileUK and have had fun creating widgets for their new app. Data usage graph rolling 30 days and ring graphs for month. (Limits at 1000 to make usage visible). //cc @chartyios

@cranies Hello there! To see current/goal values, you’ll have to pick the medium ring widget, not the chart+data one. Hope this helps! 😊

@chartyios help please, I have created a widget with rings and struggling to get the data table to show the actual value, it is only showing the max. Can see in your screenshots it has both, I.e. 12 / 120 mine just have the 120 what am I doing wrong?

OMG i just learnt of @chartyios. I wonder how difficult it'll be to port iOS WiFi Survey (github.com/kavinaidoo/ios…) to Charty using "Run JavaScript on Web Page action in Shortcuts" (support.apple.com/en-za/guide/sh…). Time to play 😃

I’ll have more information about everything in the near future, including a TestFlight. For now, I’m really happy with how it’s shaping up and how cool the new charts are looking in SwiftCharts. I’ll keep posting updates here so everyone can follow along! 😍

Why is Charty 2.0 a new app? In order to modernize the app, everything is being updated. From how data is stored in the app to rewriting all of its Shortcuts’ actions and how charts are rendered. Releasing this as an update would completely break compatibility for current users.
