@crossmarkio @XamanWallet It’s hard to show how a browser extension could be more secure than a hardware or even phone based wallet, generally speaking. It’s much easier for Xaman to make such claims than a browser plug-in or even a desktop application.

The Embarrassing State of XRPL Wallet Infrastructure Note: This post and article does a lot of name calling and criticises current ecosystem participants, because it's time. I hope this will serve as a wake up call to all wallet providers, developers, community, and people from a specific company. I'm constantly asked by our community: "What other wallets can we use?" The answer is disturbing. XRPL has a serious wallet problem - more than 85% of all dApp activity depends on a single provider. That's not market leadership; it's a fragile dependency... XRPL is a Layer 1 blockchain designed for applications beyond just sending XRP. Proper wallets should be gateways to the blockchain, portals to dApps, and tools for managing tokens, NFTs, and AMM participation. Without options, #XRPL's promise remains unfulfilled. What makes a decent wallet? Active social presence, regular updates, visible leadership, complete token support, NFT features, AMM integration, and dApp connections. These are baseline features other chains' wallets provide, yet on XRPL, it's apparently impossible. @XamanWallet dominates because they engage with users, release valuable updates, maintain visibility, and provide documentation. Despite introducing fees, they remain dominant because competitors are asleep at the wheel. When Xaman announced fees, rivals had a golden opportunity - none capitalised. The alternatives? @Ledger (treats XRPL as a box to tick), @gemwallet_app (zombie-level presence and commitment), @crossmarkio (great wallet, but invisible marketing), @BifrostWallet (handicapped XRPL support), Metamask by @Peersyst (silent about XRPL support), @Trust Wallet (bare minimum support), and @Girin_Wallet (still observing). The integration cycle is maddening: wallets ask for integration, we spend resources building it, they do zero promotion, no users migrate, the integration becomes wasted investment, we become reluctant to support new wallets, and the cycle continues. To fix this mess: Wallet providers must stop pretending minimal effort deserves market share. Users need to demand better. Developers should raise standards. XRPL Foundation must prioritise wallet diversity. This isn't just a rant; it's a wake-up call. XRPL deserves better than a wallet ecosystem dominated by a single player surrounded by half-hearted alternatives. The ball is in your court, wallet providers. Either step up or step aside.
