Just in: All five Shen Yun Toronto shows have been canceled by the Four Seasons Centre (FSC) due to hoax bomb threats.
The presenter believes these fake threats are part of a systematic global campaign by the CCP to prevent the show, which highlights the beauty of “China before communism” and sheds light on modern human rights abuses in China.
The RCMP has labelled these threats as “public mischief,” following similar fake bomb threats received by Mississauga’s Living Arts Centre two weeks prior. The Peel police deemed the Mississauga case a “non-credible threat.”
On Sunday, March 29th, at 12:55 p.m., multiple people in FSC and the COHC received an email in Swedish originating from Asia. The email claimed that explosive devices had been placed at the Four Seasons Theatre and Parliament Hill in Canada. It warned that if the Shen Yun performance continued, explosions would occur at Parliament Hill and the Four Seasons Theatre. Toronto police dismissed the threat as unfounded.
On Monday, March 30th, FSC informed the presenter that the remaining shows would proceed with enhanced security measures, including K-9 services on-site throughout the run, additional screening, and increased security personnel.
However, on Tuesday, March 31st, FSC informed the presenter that they had received escalating threats over the past 48 hours and had decided to cancel the remaining Shen Yun shows. However, the police confirmed to the presenter that no other threats had been reported.
Reports suggest this fake email campaign is part of a coordinated effort by the CCP to silence Shen Yun. Some of the threatening emails originate from China, and similar Chinese-language emails were previously sent to Parliament Hill and Prime Minister Carney.
Globally, over 150 similar false bomb threats have been received, all targeting Shen Yun. Despite these threats, all the shows have continued to perform, except for now. The Four Seasons Centre’s decision is unprecedented.

I condemn the bomb threat that forced the evacuation and cancellation of this week's Shen Yun performances at the Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts in Toronto. These acts are completely unacceptable.
I am deeply concerned this incident reflects intimidation tactics often associated with Chinese Communist Party sympathizers targeting those whose beliefs or messages they oppose. This is an attack on fundamental freedoms, freedom of expression and freedom of conscience, which must be protected.
I stand with the performers and everyone affected.

I was shocked to hear that a bomb threat shut down a performance of Shen Yun this weekend.
Yesterday I sat down with some of the organizers to discuss the issue.
This traditional Chinese cultural performance faces constant harassment because of their opposition to the CCP.
Canada must stand for free artistic expression. The shows must go on!

I was at the Four Seasons today to enjoy Shen Yun. A play celebrating Chinese culture & dance before the Communism. It often gets bomb threats.
In Ottawa, Beijing successfully lobbied the venue to cancel Shen Yun. It's an outrage.

近期推出的紀錄片《堅不可摧》（《Unbroken: The Untold Story of Shen Yun》）講述神韻在全球弘揚傳統文化與古典藝術、捍衛表達自由過程中所面臨的挑戰。
很多現場觀眾在失望的同時，更表示支持神韻繼續演出。
加拿大國會議員Roman Baber：「這實在太惡劣了，這絕對不可接受。」「我們鼓勵你們繼續前行，為你們的文化、傳統以及這場演出感到自豪，並期盼未來能迎來更美好的日子。」
聯邦議員候選人、前香港藝人Joe Tay：「我反而覺得，炸彈威脅給了更多人勇氣，讓更多不同背景的人走到一起，支持神韻。同時恰恰證明神韻做的是對的。」
神韻演出觀眾、大陸移民張小姐：「我希望神韻能越做越好，可以更好地給世界去傳播中華文化。」
更多華人名人表達了關注。
擁有百萬粉絲的YouTube博主文昭在演出前舉辦粉絲見面會，隨後收到取消演出通知。他說：「面對邪惡威脅，唯一出路是直面它、不退縮。」
時事評論員公子沈在x平台表示，這對成千上萬觀眾而言是一記警鐘，也反映出中共威權如何將恐懼輸出至海外。
中國民主黨加拿大委員會主席余厚強：「加拿大政府應該設置一個專案組，去調查、追捕、懲罰。」
《假孔子之名》導演Doris Liu在社媒表示，一場凝聚數月心血的神韻演出，被中共虛假威脅迫停，令人震驚。呼籲主辦方補辦演出，並要求加拿大政府反制中共跨國鎮壓。
