The Declaration of Independence consists of the introduction, the preamble, the body and the conclusion. Some scholars consider this to be the second section. “That, whenever any form of government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the right of the people to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new government, laying its foundation on such principles, and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their safety and happiness.” The founders, having revolted against a tyrannical government, put a stop gap for us to legally revolt against one in the Declaration Of Independence. Then they gave “We The People” the ability to enforce it via the 2nd Amendment of the Constitution. 27 words, ONE sentence, to make sure its meaning could not be misinterpreted.

Same. I don’t understand it. He’s brilliant but uses it only one way now. I send nap posts every time I can. When I call him on constitutional issues, its due to me being an “Originalists” as he use to be. Now he bounces from an “Originalist’s” interpretation to a “Living constitutionalist’s” interpretation as a proponent of the “living Constitution” or “living document”. Then sometimes he sounds like his beliefs lean towards “Textualism” or “Pragmatism”, and even in the very much minority “Moral reasoning” camp, depending on what goes against Trump’s actions best. It’s very sad as he would have made an excellent choice for The SCOTUS. But not anymore unless he’s a D appointment.

There was a “city” in Broward County Fl., called Hacienda village. From 1949- 1984 it averaged 8,000 tickets a year on a 5 mile stretch of then St. Rd 84. The speed limit before and after the 5 miles stretch was 50mph & dropped to 25mph with hidden signs. It had only about 14 mobile homes, a few junkyards, a bar, and roughly 133 residents at its peak—but employed up to 27 police officers. The Florida Legislature revoke its charter & disincorporated it in 1984.
