Shout out to the one who destroyed an "Edo owned" 550MW Ossiomo generating plant that was servicing businesses and homes. He is now laying the foundation for a "Chinese owned" 100MW Ologbo generating plant that will take another 2 years to function. INEC must include psychiatric evaluation for those who aspire to Govern.

Today, I performed the groundbreaking of a 100MW Power Plant and an LNG Processing Plant in Edo State, another bold step by my administration toward energy independence and industrial growth. Power is the backbone of development, and our administration is committed to building the infrastructure that will attract investors, create jobs, and grow our economy. This project reflects the confidence investors have in Edo State and the business friendly environment we are creating. My administration will continue to support investments that bring opportunity, prosperity, and sustainable development to our people. #PracticalGovernance #SHINEagenda #ANewEdoHasRisen

I didn't keep my promise to provide better electricity, in fact it's even worse now than ever. Ordinarily, the people shouldn't vote for me but my people are zombies with no sense, alot of them will defend me at all cost even when a promise made was not kept. I can be President for 20 years and the city servants will fight for me. A letter from President Tinubu to you..

Attention Rufai Oseni and Dr Reuben Abati. I watched with utmost dismay an assertion made on your TV show this morning when you both strangely attributed the selection of Sen Monday Okpebholo as the choice of Edo people and asking them to live with their choice. On behalf of the majority of Edo voters, the majority of votes cast were against the election of Monday Okpebholo, Edo voters majorly had no hand in the process that led to his emergence. It is widely agreed that the selection of Sen Monday Okpebholo as Governor of Edo State was the handiwork of President Tinubu and not a direct reflection of the votes of the Edo people. This is what's most surely believed amongst us. Edo people are exposed, educated, intelligent and highly composmentis and will not have chosen Monday over Asue even with a sword to our chests. However, INEC, the Police and the Presidency had their choice prevail over the will of the people and we will have to deal with it and the consequences unfortunately. We hold the office of the Governor of Edo State in very high esteem and we respect the person of Sen Monday Okpebholo but please, lets fix culpability where culpability should be when shaming the Edo people for the incompetence of Sen Monday Okpebholo. Have a great day!

Peace has been restored in Ekpoma as the Tinubu Billboard that was destroyed (that angered the Governor) has been replaced and Tinubu's face made bigger to pepper the kidnappers. Ekpoma is now shining. Shame on Putin and his Russian allies.

#FreeEkpoma52 Arresting students for a protest against the continued kidnapping and ki..lling of Ekpoma residents is tyranny in plain sight. A Government that handcuffs young people for speaking out has forfeited all moral authority to govern. Peaceful dissent is a right, not a privilege granted at the convenience of those in power. The continued detention of the 52 AAU students is shameful, illegal, and cowardly. Release them immediately and stop ruling through fear and intimidation. You were du..mb to their cries for weeks, you can't detain them now for protesting to save their own lives when you have failed to protect them.

Kidnapping students in Ekpoma, demanding 100m for ransom and killing them off because they can’t raise the money but the police would rather go and arrest students for protesting. I can’t believe this country!

We did it before in Edo, it wasn't rocket science. Lets stop embarrassing ourselves and get the Edo State Command and Control Center back on track. Build one in Uromi and build one in Auchi.

An incompetent governor counts goats attacked in Ekpoma while graves multiply across Esan land, proving he was never fit to count lives in the first place. Ogbeide Ifaluyi-isibor

When insecurity stalks the streets and the Governor chooses silence, that silence becomes a policy—one that licenses fear, abandons the people, and proves that the office is occupied, but leadership is vacant. Ogbeide Ifaluyi-isibor

Esan land is under siege, Ekpoma has become the sambisa Forest of Edo State. Farm lands have since been deserted, bandits take strolls into the towns, take people from their backyards and stroll back into their kidnapping den. AAU students have refused to resume school as they fear for their lives, there was a protest some days ago, the people are crying out so loud but not loud enough for their son to hear in Benin. Interestingly, most of my Esan friends on social media are more interested in the Ramat Park Flyover in Benin than calling out their son to come heed to the worries of his kinsmen. What bamboozles me the most is the complete and audible silence and the "I don't care attitude" of the Governor. For him, Udomi is relatively safe so he is fine. Just before Christmas, an elderly couple was kidnapped right in their home, the poor old lady was dehumanized right in the presence of her husband in the bush and her remains deposited at an abattoir in Iruekpen. No words from the state government. A few days later, they struck again and a young dude was kidnapped and eventually taken out in his prime because family members couldn't raise N200million for his release. Not a word from the Governor. Few days ago, the head of the vigilante in Okhuesan was kidnapped, and the tragedy keeps piling up daily in Ekpoma and other parts of Esan but my friends are not bold enough to tell Mr Governor that all is not well in Esan land, they are busy measuring the width and length of the Ramat Park Flyover. When will sense prevail? You want to protect your brother who doesn't need protection but the people who need protection are dying but you keep quiet. Who will bell "your" cat!

I feel very unhappy and utterly displeased when tragedy happens in Edo State and the Edo State Government is completely quiet about it. It doesn't only bother on incompetence, it also portrays a Government that is not responsible and doesn't care about the plight and welfare of the people. As perfidious as the Federal Government is, whenever there's a mishap or any form of tragedy anywhere in the country, the handlers of the President respond and even if the content is the cliche of ordering the security agencies to fish out the perpetrators, it atleast gives the notion or impression that the Government is duty-bound to address the issue that worries the people. A few days ago, there was a sad news about the kidnap of 2 brothers in Auchi one being a medical doctor. These are human beings that have families, these are Edo people that have a Government, these are people who deserve protection by the state. So they fall into the hands of evil men, the people are enraged and offering their prayers but the Okpebholo administration is quiet and du..mb like nothing happened. No words of hope, no assurances of any kind, no pretentious orders given to the CP to act, no words to the family allaying their fears, no nothing. We got to read today that the younger of the siblings had his life taken away from him by the kidnappers and the doctor still held captive. The Auchi community is mourning, Edo people on social media are livid and sad and yet again, Mr Okpebholo is audibly quiet and mute. How unreasonable! Irrational and illogical can a Government be! No empathy! No sensitivity! No compassion! No common sense at all. This is beyond politics, it is just a reasonable call to Sen Monday Okpebholo to upgrade his understanding and compassion for Edo people. We can't be seeing needless songs about some flyover and stuff while there's zero empathy towards the people when it matters most. It's sickening......

When the success stories of many small businesses in Edo State and across the country are written, many will acknowledge how great an influence LAPO micro finance bank has been through the years. There are some men that were born to solve problems in their generations and I think Mr Godwin Ehigiamusoe, the Founder of LAPO micro finance bank is one of such men in our generation that has contributed immensely to solving societal problems as touching business finance. I have been privileged to meet Mr LAPO a couple of times and one thing that strikes me the most about him is his quintessential humility, I see a very quiet and meek man with a large heart and an audacious personality. He is the most introverted in the room and I imagine the thoughts that go through his mind and how he has become a "Son" of consolation to thousands of Businesses across Nigeria. Most of us may not know how many small and medium businesses have survived because of LAPO and how many more join their chariot on a daily basis and I'm hoping that one day, Mr Ehigiamusoe will tell us the LAPO story. I look forward to having men like Mr Ehigiamusoe organize a lecture series for Edo men in my generation teaching about business excellence and financial success, teaching about hardwork and dedication to industry, teaching about patience and perseverance in business, telling us how he started, the challenges faced and how he has written his name on the sands of time in our generation. There's a shortage of mentors today in our Kingdom and i pray that those who have gone ahead of us and excelled in business, academics, politics, creativity will one day rise to the occasion to build a generation of giants that will take over from them. I woke up this morning strangely with him on my mind and I knew it was the day to celebrate this amazing business icon that exemplifies humility even with his enormous success. The Benin Kingdom is proud of you sir, the Edo nation celebrates you and indeed Nigeria is honoured to count you as hers. Thank you so much for your service to humanity sir.

Unprecedented in Nigeria!!! I h@te to say it but Oshiomole was right. He saw what all the others couldn't see and fought against this at the beginning. For the first time in history, MDAs in Edo did not do any budget defense before the House of Assembly. MDAs didn't justify what they did with the 2025 budget and how well they performed, they also didn't justify whatever figures were alloted to them for 2026. This is unprecedented in Edo history. The new budget has been signed without any increase or single input from the House of Assembly, same figures were proposed and same figures signed into law, this is unexampled in Nigeria and Edo has taken the lead again in backward Governance. I am not ashamed of the kind of Governance we have today, I am only shocked that some of you expected better. To my friends in the House of Assembly, your Assembly will be remembered for this. We never had it this bad guys!!!
