@thetastowe42 I stayed out as none of the pullback met my criteria for entry ( small account) the slow grind up riding second deviation days are hard for me. I might be wrong but I feel like if I was working with more margin I may have taken a stab at one of the shallow pullbacks, but no dice.

Speaking from my experience, minimal as it is: if you missed this move and/or lost money being on the wrong side of it, definitely review your day but don’t torture yourself rabbit hunting coulda woulda hindsight nightmare stuff. There’s no need to reinvent your entire universe around blowing a trend day, just put it in the lesson folder and show up again tomorrow.

@thetastowe42 I waited for the break of IBH/ONH and entered with a tight stop on the retest of those 2 lines as support with a modest target of prior day high. I have a small account and I trade small right now. Aim small miss small. Positive Equity Curve is all I need.

pretty fun day, faced with the improbable double IB break with possible ONH break in ES, i followed plan which was stay long above 6802 and made it to target. this is why that stat stuff still required discretion.

@physicsgeek My parents took me to The Flight of the Challenger Omni Imax theater experience at the old minnesota science museum when I was 5. I wonder why im afraid of heights and flying?! I remember holding onto the ground cause I thought we were all falling. Terrifying.

I know it's been 40 years and some of you were still sperm in your father, but all y'all screeching NO KIDS WATCHED THE CHALLENGER EXPLOSION are not only stupid, you're pig ignorant. 1) A teacher was on board as an astronaut 2) Lot of teachers wheeled TVs into their classrooms so that kids could watch a teacher fly into space. 3) Those kids saw the Challenger explode One of the worst videos I saw was of Christa McAuliffe's (the teacher in question) classroom -with a sub teacher- watching the video as the Challenger exploded.

Comp update: Kirk Cousins will sign a five-year, $172 million deal with the Raiders that in reality is a one-year, fully-guaranteed $20 million deal that also contains a club option for two years at $80M. The Falcons will pay Cousins $8.7 million this season, the Raiders another $1.3 million and Las Vegas also agreed to pay its new QB a fully-guaranteed $10 million roster bonus on the third day of the 2027 new league year. And maybe most notably, it also sets another new mark: this will be the 11th straight NFL season in which Cousins’ contract will be fully guaranteed.

@RussosFilter I have been screaming this for years. He is a heck of a skater, BUT he drives right buy any and all action. It sickens me to watch a guy with that much ability be that ineffectual. I'm sure he is a great guy and blah blah blah, but he is a problem if we want to win.

Johansson pts/gm: Oct-Dec .820 Jan-Mar .428 Season to date .656 Career .534 He was due to come back to earth this season, but he’s over-corrected… He’s even underperformed (.428) his 1st 3 seasons with the Wild (.482) in 2026. But at least he’s also soft all over the ice…

@RussosFilter Is it just me or do we need to stop making blind weak ass backhand clears and pass attempts?! Also our "house" defense was Peewee-esque at best. Holy shit I want us to win in the playoffs but if the effort is like this its not gonna happen.

Veteran QB Carson Wentz is re-signing with the Vikings, sources tell The Insiders. So Minnesota’s QB room now features three former top-10 picks: Kyler Murray, J.J. McCarthy and Wentz, who played well last season before a shoulder injury.

@paxtrader777 I am pretty early in my trading career but I have adopted the practice of calling my trades "data collection" as each trade is just a peice of information gathered to create a full proof of edge. If I make money in the process then so be it. Keeps me focused on my process/rules.

I hate when I see young traders use words like play in regards to a trade. Also, I do not win money. I earn money. I dont have winners or losers, I have profits or expenses.

@simo_vanov @Wordsofrizdom I started trading 18 months ago and for me it was when I had exhausted myself on absorbing as much as I could from as many sources as my intellect would allow me then I made the decision to formulate a set of rules. Rules are not exciting or sexy. Most people cant stick to rules.

You probably know better than me, but my take would be just because it is very, very hard to find something that works, and when you get the statistics, it will show you a small profit after taxes, commisions and slippage. I think sometimes we as traders would prefer to put on the pink glasses and take a strategy that is overfitted for a sping then to stick with something that wins really small. Or the other thing is the belief that you can just stumble upon a strategy and you are going to know it is right because it will just never lose, and never have a drawdown. The belief that backtesting does not help at all and everything should be done live with real money.

Legendary CME floor trader, Lewis Borsellino believes successful traders share one thing in common: a specific personality type. “If you went to work all week and your boss said, ‘yeah, you did a good job this week, but I can't pay you.’ How long would you do that job for?” “Trading is one of the only professions where you can work hard… Do everything right…And still make no money for weeks.” That’s why most people quit. Most people can’t be traders. Not because they’re not smart. But because they can’t handle loss. The question is simple: Can you keep showing up anyway?

@mnwild Let's hope we see more of the most recent version of Hartman. He is at his best when he plays fast and down low. He doesn't do much when he is trying to match the KK and Zuccy east west finesse game. #gowild
