Fuel security starts with getting more Australian oil and gas out of the ground. We need to dig and drill. At a time of crisis, the last thing Australia needs is a tax that will stop more coming out of the ground.

I've been pushing for the capital gains tax discount to be reduced to 25% & tied to new homes only. This will help incentivise new supply which has flow-on benefits for ppl renting & makes it easier for first homebuyers. We should also cap negative gearing to 1 property & reinvest revenue not foregone in new social & affordable homes. @AAAALEFT @TonyShepherd4 Most certainly the last LNP government took everything and left nothing. They were mean spirited with Robo debt and did nothing for students burdening them with years of debt when they could have made changes. They daily dribble from Angus wishful thinking on his part.

For 9 years, when the LNP govt was in power, I felt a decline in my quality of life. In contrast, the current govt is implementing fully bulk-billed Medicare, reducing my taxes and HECS debt, and my sister is able to access free TAFE. My standard of living is better now.#auspol
