I just saw the news that the NDC has requested that party members vying for political offices must sign an MOU agreeing to relinquish their elected positions if they win through the party and later decide to defect. I am fully in support of this. Political prostitution must stop. It weakens our democracy and prevents us from having lasting parties and legacies. PDP and LP are typical examples of this. You don't run on a platform, win, and then abandon the platform through which you were elected while retaining your political office. If you ask me, I think other parties should take a cue from NDC.
