The Adelaide Festival board should have been honest. It isn't removing a Palestinian writer from the Writers' Week because of "cultural sensitivity" after the Bondi massacre but because of its own sensitivity to pressure to remove yet another voice that might criticize Israel.

Writers are withdrawing from the Adelaide Writers Festival in solidarity with the woman who posted an image of a paraglider with a Palestinian flag the day after Hamas killed 1200 Israelis using armed paragliders.
Their actions really do speak louder than their words.
