@jacobscheier It's actually crazy that we have to go to such extreme levels of inception to get the doctors to come up with their own idea of what is wrong because if we flat out say "I have a eustachian tube infection" then we are overreacting and overdiagnosing and self diagnosis is bad
English

@IsabellaAmara1 Maybe one of the only valid use cases for the phrase "I know it smell crazy in there"
English

@martyrmade If Israel are terrorists, then so are the U.S. They’ve committed the same acts.

Iran has been consistent and clear that any ceasefire or peace deal must include Lebanon, and any observer should assume Iran will not abandon Hezbollah after the group’s loyalty against ISIS, and now in this current war. Hez has distinguished itself as the best light infantry force in the region, and Iran’s deterrent depends on the loyalty of its regional allies. If Trump allows Israel to continue pounding Lebanon, the war will resume, simple as that. Peace is on the table. Iran and the Trump administration clearly want it. If Israel doesn’t want it, it’s not our problem, and Trump should let them fight their own war.

@awgaffney There is little appetite by medical professionals to correctly diagnose chronic illnesses actually. Palming off people in pain with some anxiety meds and a pat on the back when a quick scan would show they are chock full of inflammation is what drives people to self diagnose.
English

@somethings_awry People forget that 28 year old women are in fact grown women who might set their own age preferences on their dating profiles. When I was dating at 24 I had mine set to 40 because I was curious about older men and wanted to meet a range of people! Adults can date 🤪
English

@quiet_homeboy My takeaway is just coffee dates! If you want love you gotta get out there and find it via a nice flat white
English

@irlrubyph I’m too lazy and tired for all that but I respect the hustle big time. I’m happy for you both!
English

@quiet_homeboy To use the youth slang, I straight up datemaxxed. Two a week, 30+ hinge dates (I learned the hard way to only get coffee - no drinks no dinner) and it got me so confident and able to quantify my own taste and attraction. 2/30 made it to a 3rd date, 1 became my partner of 4 years!
English

@irlrubyph Yeah I maybe should. I always felt like relationships just happen /you shouldn’t meet anyone with an expectation. So this is the first time in my entire life that I’ve been considering the idea of dating with the aim of finding love and it feels like something a crazy person does
English

@quiet_homeboy True in that case I recommend a max 30 min coffee date and you just meet a bunch of different people (that's how I ended up meeting my partner!) (some of these people are insufferable) (nobody has two coffees in one sitting so there is a clear exit)

@polosporting Crazy bc Deadbeat is probably my favourite album of his. My Old Ways is one of the most underrated songs about addiction imo

@MegTruno3690 @ggioiamelissa @OlgaPecorelle It's really telling that you're so ready to diminish craft and it's applications - enjoy this article instead! And yes I know how to knit. It's not a terrible thing for knitting to be maths. nytimes.com/2019/05/17/sci…
English

@irlrubyph @ggioiamelissa @OlgaPecorelle Knitting was not a blueprint for knot theory. Knitting involves ONLY counting, no other form of math. Do you actually knit?
English

@MegTruno3690 @ggioiamelissa @OlgaPecorelle So counting (addition, subtraction, multiplication & division) is part of the oldest form of mathematics, called Arithmetic. Knitting is a form of applied mathematics, the original blueprint for knot theory and has contributed to studies in topology & graph theory. Try harder.
English

@irlrubyph @ggioiamelissa @OlgaPecorelle No, it's just counting, "Maths" is more involved. Maths is when you do something with the numbers instead of just counting them. (And yes, I lived in the UK and realize "maths" just means "math" here in the US.)
