@TCole59 No there is not a big difference. Daniel Jacobsen averaged 5ppg last season and could demand $1+ million. Brandon Noel averaged 20 ppg at Wright St., he averaged 6 ppg at Ohio State this season. PPG is not the end-all, be-all.

Every college basketball coach tells players not to place their value solely in scoring, preaching that “a good player can be effective without necessarily scoring.” However, coaches now use points per game as a metric to assess a player’s value. Unbelievably hypocritical.
Jeff Goodman@GoodmanHoops

One high-major head coach to me: “This has become a joke. We got guys who averaged 3 points a game asking for a million dollars. It’s completely out of control.”

@EazyStreetD1 @PDawg206 @therealTM_1 @dylanmorris44 I agree that it’s great players are getting paid. It’s capitalism at its finest! I just wish the players didn’t move around so much. And coaches too. I’ll miss watching a freshmen develop and thinking he/she will be back better than ever next year. Then poof, gone.

@PDawg206 @jadenschoch @therealTM_1 @dylanmorris44 Not everyone thinks your way is better. I love seeing players go wherever they want for as much as they can get. They only get four years of eligibility. Let them use it how they see fit. They pay the coaches a ton, it’s ok for them to have to earn it building New teams.

@PDawg206 @therealTM_1 @dylanmorris44 You think Michigan fans care right now that their guys aren’t home grown? And grow up with the “academic mission.” All of that stuff went out the window when billion dollar tv contracts started getting signed, if not before. You should maybe find a nice DII team to follow.

In terms of combined offensive and defensive efficiency, Arizona and ichigan is a top 3 game all time, but this UConn Illinois game is a sicko’s dream. Every coach will be clipping up this game. Absolutely elite Xs and Os.

@RyStar7_ Why didn’t they press SC? Their run and jump from the front is very risk averse. It’s almost like the Villanova 122. Mix it up a bit. I feel Geno got out coached in this game. SC took it to them.

Did UCONN spend too much of the season bullying weaker teams? Full court press, constant pressure, run & jump that they became much weaker in the half court? See this a lot in AAU & is my theory on Y most girls struggle w/actual offensive skills (take layups & wide open 3’s out).

@MrZachG Agree completely. But our standards say we have to teach multiple ways to do the same thing. Most of the time, it over complicates a simple concept. And then on top of that, our state test asks questions that make it even harder of a task just to do that simple concept.

You teach one strategy for adding 1-digit numbers. Then you have them apply the same strategy in a variety of situations. Then you have them memorize their facts so they never use the strategy again. Kids win. But in the other school of thought you teach 4-6 ways. Kids lose.
Anna Stokke@rastokke

The multiple strategy approach for teaching math should be abandoned. I have been saying this for years. It doesn't align with common sense or effective practice. This is a good article. edweek.org/teaching-learn…

Everything is online these days. Teachers don’t give lessons anymore, kids just sit in front of them looking at the online lesson. Teachers aren’t grading papers anymore, it’s a freakin computer program. They also have “teacher work days” and every single holiday under the sun off. This is more about the refusal to work outside of their scheduled hours, while expecting kids to do most of their work on their off hours. It’s gotten kind of ridiculous.

Do people have any idea how long it takes to grade? Even if you spend only 2 min/test (usually more), when you have 150 tests, that’s 300 minutes (5 hr). The teacher will definitely spend their own time grading; just not committing to have them all done over a weekend.
Amber H@fvckerysprinkle

So my daughter had a test and asked her teacher if she was going to grade them over the weekend so she could know her grade on Monday. Her teachers reply “I’m not spending my weekend grading papers.” Okay then.. moving forward my children will not spending their after school hours doing hours of homework. They will not spending their weekend working on projects. They can do that during school time then.

I am trying to reply to all of the DM’s I’ve gotten the past few days about P and training, helping others (often your own daughter/son). But for some reason, when I reply it won’t send if I’m not following you. I’ll keep trying but please know, I’m not ignoring your messages!

Or.. coaches are the first car in the parking lot at 6:15am. Often leave after 9pm. Teach those same hours. This isn’t a side hustle. Coaches drive buses. Fundraise athletic money. Mentor players when they don’t have parents at home. It’s a less than minimum wage stipend

I’ve literally had math geniuses try to explain to me how a negative times a negative equals a positive, and I still don’t get it It doesn’t. If you have nothing, and then more nothing, you don’t have something. You have nothing Math is a psyop!
