@IFTVMarco @FrankFF10FF They have spent wisely. Case in point: Barurina. Any Serie A club could have had him last summer or the summer before for a much lower rate.

@FrankFF10FF Who called them a Leicester? And my point is that you can’t just look what they’ve spent in 1 year. You need to check who has been investing for years into their squads

The knock on Como I always hear is “they’ve spent a lot of money” To me, they’ve invested money and they’ve done it well. Juve & Milan spend hundreds of millions to get worse players. Btw check their salary spending, 10 teams spend more than them. Working smarter.

@effzehNSC I was going to point out that matches don’t overlap until the final group match day but now that we expanded to 48 teams that’s not the case, there are other overlapping matches. Guess I need another screen

The vibes around this World Cup hasn’t really matched those of World Cups past but I’ll be damned if I don’t have a 3 screen set up to catch multiple matches at a given time.

The World Cup starts in 17 days and there are still tickets available for the opening games for Scotland and England at just $1,300 and $2,500 respectively. Why not bring the family?

@therealTM_1 @RTRWLT @RaiderMark @keeper2481 It absolutely fucking should. They're playing a fucking sport, not going to combat. 400,000/year personal training, medical, housing, food, ad agency, travel, and education is plenty of compensation. Treating these fucking 18 year old like they've done something.

Did Jason Williams honestly come to Gainesville thinking that Mia would get some kind of warm welcome? Seriously, she chased a bag to leave and go to Bag Drop University.

@therealTM_1 @SeeingScarlet_ Nope NIL is shit because Tim Walton who recruits and coaches kids knows what he’s doing. Dudes been the head coach of the USA team multiple times and y’all got some oil money and buying a softball team and just now relevant and think you been good at softball for years!

@RaiderMark @keeper2481 Nobody was asking for how it is now. NIL doesn’t exist. It’s just pay for play. Regulations will be coming. Hopefully sooner than later.

@SeeingScarlet_ You’re part of the reason the NIL is so screwed up. Tim Walton stuck with ur ass batting below a .200 and after one decent year you leave for the money. Hope it’s worth not getting anything out of it but DRAMA!

Never said that, and that wasn't my point alone. Texas Tech was a fucking nobody in softball before last year, zero WCWS appearances ever. They went nuclear buying a championship with NIL: $2M on softball alone, including $1.05M + another seven-figure bag for Canady. Tech turned into straight degenerate spenders, spread five-figure deals across the roster, and straight-up poached All-American Mia Williams from Florida this year to keep the train rolling. NILs are shady deals kept hidden, but AI does pretty good at aggregating the data.

Why is TNT insisting on calling this Roland Garros, instead of the French Open? Did I miss something? Is there some kind of rebranding or something going on I wasn’t aware of?

@mtoncar @ESPNCleveland @joevardon If we go that route, Mobley will be requesting a trade in 2 years. Also we don’t have our first round picks, so tanking doesn’t make sense. We are stuck trying to compete

@TurkStevens @ColinSNewsday It has always been Roland Garros. Just because NBC and then ESPN labeled it as the French Open, doesnt mean everyone else has called it Roland Garros. Again, you must be new to tennis. The rest of the world never called it French Open

@AdamSchefter The Bills tearing down the old stadium while the new one is already ready is the most Buffalo thing ever. An entire era of Ralph Wilson memories coming down brick by brick while the future is already built next door. This transition hits different for real Bills fans.
