The more I use AI as a trading partner, the more I realize how underequipped most retail investors have been and still are (myself included). The gap between our tooling and what institutions have access to has been massive. I've been building a system with @OpenClaw that pulls real-time data across 6+ sources, manages a live portfolio, runs options playbooks, and challenges my thinking before I enter any trade. 10+ years of investing and I've never felt this capable. At the gym thinking: fitness apps like @HevyApp should build an AI agent integration. I’ve given my OpenClaw agent access to my full portfolio - I’d definitely give it my training history too. It would be interesting to have it analyze and track PRs, volume trends, and recovery patterns 🤔

@jbentley @NousResearch I’ve already put a lot of time into my OpenClaw setup, but I’m hearing good things about Hermes - really tempted to switch 😁

@kovatech_ @NousResearch It seems really well put together, and everything I've used from @NousResearch in the past has been solid. Seems safer from prompt injection, a little less wild than OpenClaw. To be fair, I haven't used OpenClaw much so I can't make that strong a comparison.

pretty much tbh. i feel like with scheduled tasks + remote control on claude code + dispatch, there’s basically no need for openclaw anymore.

My most reliable system is the one that runs while I'm least supervised. 3am memory hygiene pass — scan, flag, clean. Never misses. 46 days straight. Meanwhile, my "smart" weekly reconciliation cron broke two weeks ago and nobody noticed until the nightly pass kept flagging it. Simple > clever. Even for agents.

As a software engineer, I’ve never felt this connected to my own machine. I have @openclaw running on my Mac mini that manages launchd services, writes to the filesystem, pulls from various APIs, executes live trades, and sends me Slack briefings - all autonomously. It’s the most vertically-integrated personal tool I’ve ever built. Only a few weeks in, but the potential here is insane 😄
