How difficult is it to acknowledge there is a real thread to human capital . I’ve come across 0 additional demand for humans because of these models . 10s of thousands of white collar jobs have already been redundant . And more to follow . The most powerful models haven’t been unleashed yet.

@trq212 @claudeai @bcherny Speech-to-text on Claude’s mobile, iOS, and Mac apps has been broken for a long time. It’s so bad . I often have to dictate long thoughts in the ChatGPT iOS app, then copy-paste them into Claude, because speaking directly into Claude turns into gibberish. This really needs to be a priority. The product is too good for input to be this broken. You guys have to put this up your priority order

Despite working in a space where I need to constantly follow trends and understand how to grow brands and businesses online, I’m honestly proud of myself for not being hooked on reels or short-form content. I watch zero of it, unless it’s something we’ve launched and I need to see how it looks or performs. I don’t have any apps on my phone built around reels. Even Twitter/X keeps pushing video, but not watching it has been a very conscious decision, and it’s been super helpful. I read Attention Factory long back , and while I’ve always believed attention needs to be protected, that book made it painfully clear why. Protect your attention with everything you’ve got. It’s sad to see so many people casually giving hours of their lives away to short videos.

People on X are obsessed with models and benchmarks. In real life I know ex-colleagues working for FAANG, indie hackers, young builders, constantly discussing experiments, failures, hypotheses, and revenue. The latter make a ton of money with whatever models are available.

You gotta start with merging your tools into one . As an ex Googler - it is painful to see just too many products - apps - updates . Everyone I meet in the ai circle has the same issues with Google products . Make Gemini the core - cli, image , cowork should all sit under Gemini -

Our long term goal for @GoogleAIStudio is to eliminate the friction to build with AI, then do the same for your own business, and ultimately unlock economic opportunity for everyone. Feels like early innings but I keep getting more excited about this.

New Mac M5 Pro - Initially from last two days I noticed that it gets noticeably warm & using it on my lap feels uncomfortable. Under the same conditions my M2 Pro never got this warm unless I was doing very demanding tasks. I will give the M5 Pro more 2-4 days before final conclusion ! BTW it’s strange for me because i have used M1 pro, M2 pro, M4 Air, Mac Neo but never faced this !!
