Every Republican campaigned on keeping men out of girls sports. We made a promise to our voters. But now instead of delivering on those promises, Senate Republicans are caving to Democrats.
I cannot support any bill on college sports that doesn’t include these basic protections and will vote No on the Protect College Sports Act. This is our one chance to get this done, we have to deliver.

Final thing I’ll say for tonight. Trans rights are human rights. An 8 year old kid doesn’t care what the gender of the kid on their soccer team is, they just want to play and have fun. Trans kids deserve as much fun as non-trans kids. I’ll continue to challenge our candidates to not take the bait. If you want to argue about the issue in high school or college or Olympic sports, fine (but respect the science too, trans athletes in plenty of sports at that level are at a disadvantage). It is a complicated issue. There is nuance. Saying you are opposed as a blanket statement disrespects the science, nuance, and turns kids into political footballs. Good night all. Let’s keep fighting the good fight together.
