This is the condition of Ariaria International Market before and after Alex Otti became Governor. This market generates at least $3Billion every year. But Orji Uzor Kalu and Okezie Ikpeazu didn't see the need to upgrade or at least construct the roads inside and around it. They're now fighting Alex Otti for making the lives of Ndi Abia better. We must #RetireOUK in 2027.

Nigeria has been arguing about “restructuring” for 50 years now because we are afraid to say the real word: Aburi. Aburi wasn’t about secession. It was about power leaving the centre. Nigeria briefly admitted the truth in 1967: the centre was too strong, the regions too weak. The solution on the table was simple devolve power so no group needs permission from the centre to feel safe. That admission scared the centre, so it was diluted. Every federalism argument since then is Aburi pretending to be something else: State police? Aburi. Resource control? Aburi. True federalism? Aburi. What we call “unity” today is just fear of decentralization. Nigeria is more centralized now than under military rule, yet we keep lying to ourselves. We didn’t reject Aburi because it would break Nigeria. We rejected it because it would change who controls power. Until that is confronted honestly, every constitutional conference, national dialogue, and restructuring committee will keep circling the same unresolved question: How much power is the centre willing to let go?
