My friends, There comes a moment in every life when you must decide what truly matters. Not what is easy, not what is comfortable but what is right. To serve the people is not a part-time commitment. It is not a title, a badge, or a position you wear when it suits you. It is a calling that demands everything you have and everything you are willing to become. Because service means sacrifice It’s time.

UPDATE: BORNO STATE — COORDINATED ISWAP ATTACKS, APRIL 8-9, 2026 I first reported this overnight, as it was happening. I've since received multiple confirmations. From what I know, this is what happened: ISWAP launched simultaneous attacks on two Borno State locations overnight — Pulka community in Gwoza LGA and Benesheikh town in Kaga LGA. In Pulka, fighters struck the military operations base at approximately 10:25 PM, engaging soldiers until troops ran out of ammunition. Attackers then moved to a road construction site, destroying equipment and vehicles belonging to Decency Road Construction Firm, before setting civilian homes ablaze. Civilians fled to surrounding mountains. Reinforcements arrived from Brigade Gwoza and repelled the attack. One Civilian JTF member was killed. Military casualties unconfirmed but reported. In Benesheikh, terrorists struck at approximately 1 AM, burning trucks and commercial vehicles and killing motorists and passengers who had stopped for the night due to the routine evening closure of the Maiduguri-Damaturu-Kano road. A Brigadier General — the military's commanding officer at Benesheikh — was killed in the attack. It is the highest-ranking officer killed since Brigadier General Uba was killed in a Borno ambush in late 2025. The two attacks were coordinated and simultaneous. Senator Ali Ndume confirmed both incidents, noting that troops are doing their best but lack sufficient equipment to confront the terrorists. Pulka currently hosts thousands of displaced survivors from the Ngoshe massacre of March 3. The terrorists hit it again last night. My thoughts: Tinubu and his administration should relocate to the military base there. Perhaps the next attack will solve all of Nigeria's problems all at once - when they are visited by their "brothers" and "sons" and given a fitting send-off. Note: The troops lack "insufficient equipment" -- too bad they can't fight with "Restoring Hope" buses, or bags of rice, or N300,000,000 wristwatches. The Nigerian government is illegitimate, illegal, corrupt and complicit. Innocent people continue to pay the price. This must end. #EarthShaker

I feel the pain of this pastor, but Tinubu did not win the 2023 election; he was selected by INEC. The only place Nigerians failed was that there was not a widespread uprising to reject the theft of 2023. HISTORICAL CONTEXT 1983 Election Petition: In Ondo State: Ajasin vs NPN In Anambra State: Nwobodo vs NPN The NPN rigged both elections to remove 2 popular governors. The people of Ondo rejected the results and started rioting. The homes of all NPN chieftains and NPN offices were burnt to the ground. When the Ondo matter went to the Supreme Court, the corrupt Court knew they had a war on their hands. Ondo had become ungovernable. They had no choice but to rule in favor of Ajasin. In the case of Anambra State, after the massive rigging by NPN, the people just shrugged and went about their business. The same rigging as in Ondo. The same kind of evidence that was openly visible to all. The same Supreme ruled in favor of the NPN In other words, only an uprising against a corrupt INEC and a corrupt judiciary will make a difference against Tinubu. Every other thing is just noise.

I Risked My Life for a Country That Can’t Pay Me — Who Stole Our RCA? I once saw a document in my camp stating that soldiers on operations are entitled to ₦5,000 per day as RCA. I was only getting ₦45,000 a month. Who pocketed the rest? No soldier has ever asked that question. I risked my life for a country that neither values it nor pays me fairly, all in the name of selfless service. Yet, the politicians who claim to lead us can’t even show the same commitment. In Nigeria, the military has been turned into a tool of mental and civil slavery, where soldiers bear the burden of risks, stress, and injustice. True professionalism demands fairness, accountability, and genuine care for those on the frontlines.

My fellow well-meaning Nigerians, What an irony it is. Some elites and governors from the South-East are throwing their weight behind Tinubu ("Tulumbu"), sidelining Peter Obi; a man widely seen as the strongest, most credible candidate the region (and indeed the country) has produced in recent times. A leader with a proven track record of competence, character, and compassion. Someone who ran Anambra with measurable results in education, health, and fiscal prudence, and who has inspired a new wave of thinking across Nigeria. The young people are energized. Many in the North are beginning to see a genuine pathway to a better, more united Nigeria through the ideas and movement Peter Obi represents. His message of frugality, productivity, security, and inclusive governance resonates far beyond any ethnic line. Nigerians desperately need leadership defined by COMPETENCE (the ability to deliver results), CHARACTER (integrity and consistency), and COMPASSION (putting the suffering masses first) to steer this country toward real prosperity, not just rhetoric or recycled politics. From my perspective here in the North, the question many of us are asking is painful but necessary: Why would these leaders prefer Tinubu over Peter Obi? Why align against a son of the South-East who has the clearest chance not only to win but to fundamentally change the trajectory of our nation starting from reducing poverty, tackling insecurity, fixing infrastructure, and restoring hope for millions? It is sad. Deeply sad. This isn't about tribe or region alone. It's about Nigeria's future. Peter Obi's appeal in 2023 showed that when people vote with conviction, for ideas, not just patronage then something powerful happens. The youth, the professionals, the everyday citizens who are tired of business-as-usual are watching. They are not swayed by elite endorsements; they remember governance that actually works. To the well-meaning leaders in the South-East and across Nigeria: History will judge this moment. Personal or short-term political calculations should not stand in the way of what is best for the Igbo people, the North, the South-West, the South-South and for every Nigerian. A leader who can unify, who has the discipline to cut waste, attract investment, and build institutions that outlast any administration. Let us rise above the irony. Let us choose substance over spectacle. Let the conversation be about competence, character, and compassion. the qualities that can finally move Nigeria from potential to prosperity. The young people are ready. A new thinking is spreading. The question is: Will our leaders listen to the heartbeat of the nation, or will they double down on the old ways? Nigeria deserves better. Peter Obi represents one of the clearest shots we have at that "better." Let's not squander it out of short-sightedness. What do you think, my brothers and sisters? The future is in our collective hands not just the elites. Signed, A concerned Nigerian from the North who wants a prosperous, united country for all.

Mr Obi, 3.3tn = VERIFIED legacy debt. This is money already owed to power generation companies and gas suppliers over the years. Not new spending. Old unpaid debts were finally audited and agreed upon. These debts are accrued from subsidies. ₦4tn = BOND (This is a borrowing plan.) A bond is NOT money that has already been spent. It’s how the government plans to RAISE money, usually by borrowing from investors, to pay off that existing ₦3.3tn debt. Again Mr Obi, One is the DEBT. The other is how to PAY the debt. If you are still confused about this let me know so i can draw a diagram for you
Peter Obi@PeterObi

Let us reflect, sincerely and without sentiment. In the past few days, the President has reportedly approved ₦3.3 trillion as a “full and final” payment for debts in the power sector. Yet, this is not the first time such approvals have been made. On May 17, 2024, ₦3.3 trillion was approved for the same purpose. On July 25, 2024, another ₦4 trillion bond was approved to settle similar debts. There have also been other approvals in between, all targeted at addressing the same power sector liabilities. This raises a fundamental question: were the previous approvals mere announcements without execution? ₦3.3 Trillion Again? Nigeria’s Power Crisis Without End During the 2023 campaign, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu made a clear promise: that if he failed to deliver stable electricity, Nigerians should not re-elect him. Today, the reality is that power supply has worsened, to the extent that there are even discussions about disconnecting the Presidential Villa from the national grid. Each time legitimate concerns are raised, what we see appears more like policy pronouncements than measurable progress. Now, again, we are confronted with another ₦3.3 trillion approval to settle power sector debts. These debts were largely accumulated under successive administrations of the All Progressives Congress between 2015 and 2025. This raises serious concerns about accountability, transparency, and effectiveness in public financial management. It is important to note that government institutions and agencies, including the Presidential Villa owe a significant portion of these debts. Year after year, budgets were made and funds appropriated. Why then were these obligations not settled when due? And from what source will this new payment be made? Are we resorting once more to borrowing to service inefficiencies? Key questions remain unanswered: How did the debt accrue? What is the actual total debt in the power sector? Which components of the debts are due to operators’ inefficiency and should be borne by them? Why have previous approvals not translated into tangible improvements? Who are the real beneficiaries of these repeated payments? Is the ₦3.3 trillion approved on April 6, 2026, the same as the ₦3.3 trillion approved in May 2024, and how does it relate to the ₦4 trillion bond approved in July 2024? Nigeria must move beyond recycled announcements and confront the power sector crisis with sincerity, transparency, and decisive reforms. Until we do so, we will remain trapped in a cycle of debt and darkness. But with discipline, accountability, and the right leadership, a new Nigeria is still possible. -PO
