Cregger writes whatever he wants and studios pull up dump trucks filled with cash into his driveway. It’s very funny that chuds and whiny babies (redundant) think Cregger is just “using” the Resident Evil IP to make a generic zombie movie, as if the guy would be so desperate. It’s also clear he genuinely enjoys the franchise and is trying to implement key aspects of it into the film. It’s going to be great.

@mediumugly217 So, is the experimental horror film the solution to a hostile audience? What is the REAL point of a Resident Evil film venture? Is the "RE world" really THAT absolutely teeming with wacky, creative stories to tell? This is absurd logic for an auteur like Cregger.

@mediumugly217 There's no way to know this because we haven't had an actual adaptation. I'm not really interested in directors using a massively popular IP in name only as a consequence-free playground for their fanfic or as a launchpad for easy marketing in hot pop culture buzz and relevance.

@s4pphirephoenix It sounds like people genuinely just want to see actors recreate the cutscenes so they know exactly what to expect every 30 seconds and mouth the words along with the movie

@mediumugly217 RE has entirely 1 actual attempt at a live action adapatation (low budget), and there's been 30 other orginal projects with the Resident Evil IP slapped on it for name recognition. IP literally has no respect from people like you and Hollywood, no wonder fans are unhappy
