Qaim Khan Bugti, a Baloch graduate from Sui, burned his academic degrees and school certificates in front of the Quetta Press Club after losing hope of securing employment.
For the past 70 years, the occupying forces of Pakistan have been looting and exploiting the natural resources of the Republic of Balochistan. Beyond the gold, copper, and iron deposits of Saindak and Reko Diq, the coal reserves of Chamalang, Mach, and Harnai, and numerous other resources, Pakistan continues to extract approximately 334 million cubic feet of natural gas every day from Dera Bugti and Sui. Despite generating enormous revenue, the inhabitants of these resource-rich areas remain deprived of basic rights, employment opportunities, healthcare, and essential public services.
As a result, they believe they have been left with no option but to stand up in defense of their resources and seek the expulsion of Pakistani forces from their homeland, Balochistan.

Tonight, the Pakistani military conducted a number of cross-border strikes in Khost, Kunar and Paktika provinces against dozens of Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and Islamic State-Khorasan Province (ISKP) terrorists who were preparing to cross from Afghanistan into Pakistan to carry out attacks.
Fifteen TTP and ISKP fighters were killed, and more than 20 were wounded. Unfortunately, some local residents had been forced to support the beddown and feeding of fighters while passing through this evening to the border. Tragically, eight civilians were also killed during the operation, six of which were children.
Let's be clear about who is responsible for this tragedy. TTP and ISKP chose to operate in these communities, force locals to support their operational movements, and use civilian areas as part of their Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures. The blood of every innocent person killed rests first and foremost on the terrorists including the Afghan Taliban who sustains this terrorist safehaven. That is the reality of terrorism, no matter how many try to ignore it.
