Imagine if this happened in one of America's major sports. The complaining team would be relentlessly ridiculed for its fear to square off against their opponent's best players. The coach wouldn't dare this appeal.
This European mentality is so foreign to the American spirit.

Belgium has been granted the right to appeal against FIFA’s decision to suspend the one-game ban handed to USMNT star Folarin Balogun, less than 24 hours before the team’s round of 16 match vs. the United States, per The Athletic. The Belgian federation said it was “astonished” by FIFA’s decision to suspend the ban for a period of one year and the Royal Belgian Football Association (RBFA) responded that the move was in “direct contradiction” of the competition regulations and said it is exploring “all potential options.”

@swissfootdata This is the European mentality:
It's better to play victim, and lose, then it is to fight for your freedom and win.
Such a loser mentality

@TheCustardSplat Leave it to Boxing where nationalities are meaningless..

@Cleverlydey4u Celebrification of the beautiful game.

Culture Secretary Lisa Nandy has said the department will no longer use Elon Musk's social media platform X - declaring that it "now favours abuse and misinformation over meaningful debate".
It's the second government department to withdraw from the platform, after the Attorney General told his office not to use X last month.
Ms Nandy said she would also stop posting, saying it wasn't healthy for democracy.

@lancs_rob @EllisPalmer94 Because something needs to revolve around somewhere. You can't have multiple cities being in equity. There will be a hierarchy somewhere, in order of importance. That place will be labelled as the centre instead of somewhere else.
English

@mpr5013 @EllisPalmer94 Why should it revolve around London ? Thatchers post industrial obsession with basing the entire economy (services ect) around London has been a total disaster. Blair accelerated that trend further. Now starmer is basing AI almost exclusively in London. Everyone else gets shafted
English

@Blade94Razor @ericschares More people watch Cricket (probably the 3rd/4th participation sport in lonely old UK) globally if you count India also then they do any American sports combined. Just let that sink in.
Like Brian Cox explaining the wonders of the universe.
English

@ericschares The funniest part about that... Is that nobody outside of America watches American Football, Baseball or Basketball.
But the rest of the world loves Football, Rugby and Cricket.
Has it even once entered your mind that maybe you're the problem? 😅

@DamianLow3 "Please explain about something I have no idea about why I'm being shafted.
I'm pretty sure I'm being shafted."

@Newrygal1 You'll know if you're being filmed as the light comes on the glasses. Their sole purpose isn't just the cameras, you can get prescription lenses for it, use it as an AI tool or listen to music.
English

@lancs_rob @EllisPalmer94 You have to "settle" somewhere. You can't settle everywhere. That's the problem with his logic, if it's Manchester, another city is upset. How about the country revolves around its capital city?
English

@EllisPalmer94 Mate. The hub is in Manchester (as always). They already have media city and so on. They now get this political hub as well. Once again another politician who thinks "the north" has to revolve around Manchester. Personally if I was from Leeds or Newcastle I would be raging

@jeremycorbyn Jeremy, you have 2.5M followers.
This isn't equity. You should distribute those followers to the needy. Unfair. We must change.

You have descended into an election-losing far right agitator whipping up hatred.
Many of us have parents & grandparents who arrived in the UK fleeing war & persecution. It's part of what makes this country great, yet people like you would slam the door on people seeking safety.

Cruel is forcing the hardworking British people to spend £5 BILLION a year supporting illegals they never asked to have in their country to begin with. Vote Reform.
