@LavenderRex7705 the film mystifies a real man. i would like a human and grounded telling of him instead of a ridiculous ‘The Passion of the Christ’ for black americans. it tries to frame his story as a fallen messiah. it only focuses on his (highly fictionalized) personal journey with religion

@GodardGulag His feelings of foreboding were very real. That's not to say he could actually see the future but he very much felt like he could see it at times and that's important to who he was. If you can't understand that your problem is not with the film but with Malcolm X himself.

People called Charlie Kirk every vile name imaginable: a Nazi, Hitler, dangerous, evil just for defending his beliefs. This kind of dehumanizing language matters, because it teaches people to see someone as less than human.

As with most manifestos by killers (like the Unabomber), there is a part coherently explaining the political grievances but then when it gets to the part justifying killing people, there's nothing persuasive at all. They never have an argument for why murder will help.
