Why should the American Taxpayer be strapped with bailing out a private airline after the Biden Administration blocked a merger? When companies expect rescue, there’s no incentive to act responsibly. Taxpayer dollars aren’t meant to be corporate safety nets.   NO BAILOUT.

Florida’s unemployment rate is ABOVE the national average and it’s only GROWING. The latest state jobs numbers show we lost over 43k jobs all in critical industries. Florida had one of the worst performing job markets over the past year. Our state needs to stay focused on adding private sector jobs and driving down cost of living — just like President Trump is trying to do across the country.

Competition among airlines suffers when government bails them out

This is an absolutely TERRIBLE idea. The TARP corporate bailouts were a huge mistake & the government doesn’t know a damn thing about running a failed budget airline (that the Biden admin killed).

If Spirit’s creditors or other potential investors don’t think they can run it profitably coming out of its second bankruptcy in under two years, I doubt the US Government can either. Not the best use of taxpayer dollars.

This is a reminder that Senator Cornyn & Cornyn allies spent nearly $100 million in the Texas primary for him as a 24-year incumbent to only come in first by 26,098 votes. Imagine if some of that $ went to Virginia.

I don’t think they’ll get it, but I don’t know. Spirit has been a years-long saga & it was in a bad place long before fuel prices surged.

When I travel outside of Ukraine, I get daily intelligence updates online. This morning, I was briefed that U.S. military facilities in the Middle East and the Gulf region were photographed by Russian satellites in the interests of Iran. On March 24th, they imaged the U.S.–UK joint military facility on Diego Garcia located in the Chagos Archipelago in the Indian Ocean. They also captured pictures of Kuwait International Airport and parts of the infrastructure of the Greater Burgan oil field. On March 25th, they took pictures of the Prince Sultan Air Base in Saudi Arabia. The Shaybah oil and gas field in Saudi Arabia, İncirlik Air Base in Türkiye, and Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar were all imaged on March 26th. There are no Ukrainian facilities on this list. But who is helping whom when sanctions are lifted from an aggressor that earns daily revenue and provides intelligence for strikes against American, Middle Eastern, UK, and U.S.–UK bases and so on? When surveillance is carried out over facilities in Ukraine, we always understand that they must be protected, since plans are in motion to destroy them – energy and water infrastructure, military facilities, and so on. Everyone knows that repeated reconnaissance indicates preparations for strikes. How can sanctions be eased if this is what the Russians are doing? There must be pressure on the aggressor. And lifting sanctions is certainly not pressure. It looks strange. Sanctions are being lifted, while the aggressor is providing intelligence to strike facilities, including those of the countries that are discussing or have already lifted sanctions. From my conversation with journalists (3/3).

A bill passed the Senate last night 100-0 to fund TSA, the Coast Guard and FEMA. If Speaker Johnson called it for a vote it would pass easily. But he won’t do that. Because Trump has ordered him to keep TSA shut down and keep the chaos. Pure incompetence.
