In YC’s 20 year history Canadian startups that reincorporated in the US have 2x the avg valuation of those that didn’t. And the ones at Unicorn or near it all reincorporated in Delaware I love Canada (born in Winnipeg). But don't let that get in the way of making a huge startup.

The current wait time for a Startup Visa is 10 years, in part because this visa created a loophole exploited by immigration consultants. Let's fix this program so that genuine entrepreneurs can come and build new businesses, develop new technology, and grow the economy.

Canadians are very underrated we just had a long stretch of bad leadership. When I was a teenager Vancouver had a devastating city wide riot with burning cop cars and stuff (i think because of hockey) and in the morning the rioters got up early and cleaned it up

The deal is broken. People now have to flee their communities to find a place they can afford, after 10 years of Liberal government. But we will unblock homebuilding by removing taxes and delay. To bring homes, jobs, and hope to our youth.

Someone associated with a brand selling cookies, for example, can't publicly attack things that dumb people like. Dumb people buy lots of cookies. But it's safe for me to. If I offend dumb people and they don't apply to YC, that's actually good for YC.

The reason I can speak out against dumb things isn't so much that I have more insight or moral courage. It's more because I happen to be uniquely insulated from the danger of offending stupid people.
