🇵🇸 Abdul Jawad Abu Laban, who was days away from his wedding, was among at least three Palestinians killed when an Israeli drone struck a civilian vehicle near Abu Khadra Mosque in Gaza City’s Rimal neighborhood on Thursday.
Witnesses said wedding invitations and chocolates purchased for the ceremony were found scattered in the wreckage.

Today, an Israeli occupation drone struck the vehicle he was travelling in near Abu Khadra Mosque in the Rimal neighbourhood of western Gaza City, killing him and at least two other Palestinians and wounding several more. Witnesses said the bombed vehicle was driven by civilians, and rescue workers found the wedding invitations scattered from the car, the chocolates the family had already bought left behind. His relatives had been counting down to Friday for the wedding procession of their "Aboud," the brother they describe as the light of their eyes. Instead they gathered to bury him, carrying his body as they chanted that his wedding would now be held in Paradise. Senate lawmakers are threatening to withhold 75 percent of Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth’s travel budget if the Pentagon doesn’t turn over more details on the deadly February bombing of an Iranian girls’ school and full videos of lethal strikes in the Pacific Ocean, under provisions tucked into the Senate Armed Services Committee’s defense policy bill filed Tuesday.
The measure escalates a similar restriction Congress imposed late last year, when the Senate passed and President Donald Trump signed defense legislation that reduced Hegseth’s travel budget by 25 percent in an effort to force the department to turn over videos of the Pacific strikes and to meet other demands.
