The governor stood at a podium today after a mass shooting at the Mall of Louisiana and offered nothing but the same failed playbook. More jails. More Angola. More dog whistles. At some point the record has to speak louder than the rhetoric. The data is clear — Jeff Landry’s policies cost us more money and they don’t make us safer. I am praying for every family impacted by this act of violence and all the violence across our state. Too many families are carrying this grief because our leaders choose to be reactive instead of proactive. Notice I’m not focused on his dog whistles and racism — that’s what he wants. His policies are far more racist than his rhetoric. Talk about how he’s failed as a leader. That’s how we remove him next year. Share if you care 🦾
