@calvinrobinson I think he returned what he received. The pope is out of his lane. Would be better if, like you, cared more about faith and the people he serves. His posturing is vain and creates more division. I expect President DJT to be vain. Not the pope.

The President of the United States is now directly attacking the Pope. This is unhinged.

@JamesMartinSJ The Pope picks and chooses who to tweet at. Why does it always go to Trump? He never tweeted about thousands of Iranians murd@red by the Ayatollah. He doesn't tweet about the innocent Christians massacred by Islamist. Just Trump and whatever he is doing. Immigration, war, etc.

@JamesMartinSJ I don't get your problem with this. The Pope can criticize the President (which he has no business doing), but can't be criticized in return? He doesn't love the people who try to do good. His mind is in vanity games. Not beauty, health, encouragement and peace.

I doubt Pope Leo XIV will lose any sleep over this, before he begins his pilgrimage to Africa tomorrow. But the rest of us should. Because it is unhinged, uncharitable and unchristian. Is there no bottom to this moral squalor?

@JamesMartinSJ Will the Pope be visiting areas of Africa where Christians are being slaughtered, and can we expect to see the same advocacy on social media to support them as much as the Church opposes the loss of NGO dollars to Catholic charities enabling the invasion of the USA?

@ElectaWing @TrumpGirlLove And you can't get your clothes properly clean. You end up trying to play games with it to overcome the purposeful obstacles. No one wants to waste water! We pay for it one way or another. But we also don't want to waste electricity and leave chemicals in our clothes.

@TrumpGirlLove The washer industry was forced into incompetence by government hysteria over using water. And that hysteria is just ramping up. And there’s still as much water as there ever was.

Perhaps I don't know enough about geckos, but how does one make enough of a living off of breeding and selling geckos to support his family of 6 and send them to private schools that cost $46k a year for day students, or $65k a year for boarding students?
Leftism@LeftismForU

Meet Chris Ostroushko. He is one of the people who attacked @Savsays while she was filming at the Whipple Federal building in Minneapolis. He owns Leachie Lounge, a gecko breeding and selling business. His wife and daughter - who both also assaulted Savanah - can be seen in posts from his business accounts.

I'm Papua New Guinean, so let me talk about my own country for a second. My country is not failing because of the "white man." My country is not failing because of some mythical systematic stranglehold keeping us down. My country is failing because we have deep-rooted corruption at every level of society and government - the same kind of corruption people are now waking up to in the U.S., except ours is even more blatant. Papua New Guinea is one of the most resource-rich nations on Earth. We have: ✅ Massive gold, copper, and nickel deposits ✅ Major oil and LNG/natural gas projects that drive much of the economy ✅ Strong agricultural exports including: ▶️ Coffee ▶️ Cocoa ▶️ Palm oil ▶️ Copra ▶️ Rubber Large fisheries and forestry sectors And yet despite all of that wealth, since independence in 1975 - when Australia formally granted PNG independence - our politicians have repeatedly sold this nation out for personal greed. Nobody forced them at gunpoint. Nobody made them rob their own people. Nobody made them loot public funds. Independence was handed to us on a golden platter. And what did our leadership do? They turned around and pillaged the country for themselves. WE ARE OUR OWN WORST ENEMIES. And this same pattern exists all over: ~ Africa ~ The Middle East ~ Parts of Asia ~ Latin America Too many nations are crippled less by outsiders and more by their own corrupt elites, tribalism, greed, incompetence, and refusal to build functioning institutions. Then millions from these broken countries move to the West carrying a built-in victim mentality - blaming everyone else for problems they never fixed at home. And when you see crime, violence, rape, gang activity, and lawlessness emerge in parts of the West from certain migrant populations, many of these individuals come from places where: ☑️ corruption is normal ☑️ violence is common ☑️ law enforcement is weak ☑️ and accountability barely exists You cannot import people from dysfunctional societies in mass numbers and expect zero cultural consequences. Harsh truth: Until people start taking responsibility for their own nations, cultures, and leadership... nothing changes.

The victory of the opposition in Hungary yesterday, like the Polish election in 2023, is a victory for democracy, not just in Europe but around the world. Most of all, it’s a testament to the resilience and determination of the Hungarian people – and a reminder to all of us to keep striving for fairness, equality and the rule of law.

@250_Revolution That's why it's a socialist program. People are never meant to get back everything they paid into the system. Yeah, it's robbery, but there must be ways to care for the elderly and disabled.

Concerning Social Security payments, my contributions were made for 40 years on every salary I received. Those jobs may not have always been the work I wanted to be doing at the time, BUT I always had a job. The Social Security check is now (or soon will be) referred to as a "Federal Benefit Payment?" I'll be part of the one percent to forward this. I am forwarding it because it touches a nerve in me, and I hope it will in you. Please keep passing it on until everyone in our country has read it. The government is now referring to our Social Security checks as a "Federal Benefit Payment." This isn't a benefit. It is our money paid out of our earned income! Not only did we all contribute to Social Security but our employers did too. It totaled 15% of our income before taxes. If you averaged $30K per year over your working life, that's close to $180,000 invested in Social Security. If you calculate the future value of your monthly investment in social security ($375/month, including both you and your employers contributions) at a meager 1% interest rate compounded monthly, after 40 years of working you'd have more than $1.3+ million dollars saved! This is your personal investment. Upon retirement, if you took out only 3% per year, you'd receive $39,318 per year, or $3,277 per month. That's almost three times more than today's average Social Security benefit of $1,230 per month, according to the Social Security Administration. (Google it – it’s a fact). And your retirement fund would last more than 33 years (until you're 98 if you retire at age 65)! I can only imagine how much better most average-income people could live in retirement if our government had just invested our money in low-risk interest-earning accounts. Instead, the folks in Washington pulled off a bigger "Ponzi scheme" than Bernie Madoff ever did. They took our money and used it elsewhere. They forgot (oh yes, they knew) that it was OUR money they were taking. They didn't have a referendum to ask us if we wanted to lend the money to them. And they didn't pay interest on the debt they assumed. And recently they've told us that the money won't support us for very much longer. But is it our fault they misused our investments? And now, to add insult to injury, they're calling it a "benefit", as if we never worked to earn every penny of it. Just because they borrowed the money doesn't mean that our investments were a charity! Let's take a stand. We have earned our right to Social Security and Medicare. Demand that our legislators bring some sense into our government. Find a way to keep Social Security and Medicare going for the sake of that 92% of our population who need it. Then call it what it is: Our Earned Retirement Income. 😡😡😡✅

Last thing about the war in Iran. I’ve had some of you say, what about your grandsons, great grandsons, aren’t you scared they will be drafted, then sent to war. Here’s an answer to your question. My generation sat in class rooms, 8th-12th grade. Every day were heard about the Vietnam war! Were we scared, hell yes we were! Then we started hearing about young men we knew being killed, maimed, we became angry and a lot of us turned that anger into wanting to go fight! I was one of those kids! I graduated high school in June 1967. The day after graduation I signed my name to the bottom of a form, so I could become a Marine! 18 years old and willing to die for this country! There were a lot of us willing to die! Later on we learned Vietnam was a political war, nothing more! The NVA and g@@ks were no threat to this country. But, we fought! We came home to hate, hate because we fought! So your whiny asses can call me anything you want! Tell me I’m an old man! But, I’ve already heard your hate….when I was 20 years old! Iran has been threatening this country for 47 years, they ARE a threat to this country!

Elon Musk was right. The federal government was just writing checks to anyone who asked for years on end. ZERO Verification Requirements. Today, I confirmed a pattern: Dissolved business entities billing Medicaid at scale. In just one small batch, I’ve verified over $15MM. One was dissolved in 2011, yet between 2020-2024 it billed medicaid over $1.8MM. Our tax dollars are paying businesses dissolved over a decade ago. They don’t even check. They just send them money. It’s infuriating.
